The Romo market just went up

Long post that says nothing
Players go to teams for 2 reasons

1. Money
2. Win a championship

No one cares how you 'treated' another player years ago
Players understand this is a business and Romo is under contract

Are you telling me that if the Cowboys keep Romo and go to the NFCCG but Romo is the back up that other players won't sign here?

That is sheer nonsense
You're grasping at straws
No, I'm not telling you that.
yes, those are the two main reason players move.

But there is a concept of good-will. But it's built up over time but can harmed pretty badly in a hurry. One transaction wouldn't damage it too much.
How you treat your players IS important around the league though.

I'm making no predictions. Time will tell.

You're kind of starting to get rude...not worth the argument for me.
Guess we'll just see....

This is all falling into place. It will probably take awhile just because of how many draft picks are involved.

I tend to see the teams looking at Glennon as not being Denver, Houston, KC, or even Buffalo.
Do you?

I also don't see rebuilding teams like Cleveland or the Jet looking at Romo....but maybe Glennon as a stop-gap.

I'm hoping for a 3rd and a conditional 5th that could become as high as a 2nd. Something like that.
I could even take the fifth we lost for Cassel at this point. I am not even going to indulge the idea of a day two pick.

I think some people overestimate Glennon's abilities and team interest in him to start. He could go to a team with no QB and compete, but I don't see anyone rolling out the red carpet for him like he is some answer.

If, by Banquet, you mean......

Then yes. I think that's a very accurate and astute assessment Risen.
Yummmm

Just wait a few weeks into the season when someone's starter goes down and a team comes begging like minny did last year

If I may, Jerry won't turned down picks in a trade for Romo. However, Little David is rightly correct
JJones will allow Romo to go to the team of his choice.
Good will has many benefits something we all understand.

I think in spite of Brady's desire to play until 45, they are planning on him not playing at a high level sooner rather than later. If they truly think JG is a great QB, why trade him? If they traded him, I think it would show a lack of faith in him.

Or that Brady is almost 40, and nearing the end soon. If not for his career, than as a Patriot. Bellicheck always gets rid of players a year or 2 earlier than expected. So why would Brady be any different.

I know what your saying, but he's not getting rid of Brady.....well cause he's Tom Brady.

Since he is at that age though, that is a good reason to keep a good backup though.

True. But Romo, even after two back surgeries, is 10X the QB that Sam Bradford ever has been - or ever will be.

True. But that's a healthy Romo. In this case, it's not Romo's ability (he's clearly better than Bradford) as it is his age and health. Remember, the best ability is availability. And there's a question as to whether Romo would be worth the price of a high pick because he may not be available, and he's closer to the end than the beginning of his career.

Broncos Will Intently Pursue Romo

Sources say that new Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph has looked at the two young quarterbacks on the Broncos roster and has decided the team needs a veteran signal caller for the immediate future. As a result, sources say Denver plans on pursuing Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo intently.

Joseph wants to win now and Romo could buy them more time to develop 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch. Team sources say Broncos general manager John Elway is not pushing Lynch on Joseph, and is agreeable to making a run at Romo.

This isn't Steve Pelluer.

This is the guy that covered Jerry's incompetent tracks for years and made the team far more respectable than it was. This is Jerry's third son.

Jerry wants him here. If not, he wants him happy. That will be done.

Does jerry want him to win a SB with the Texans (another Texas team) at the expense of the Cowboys?

Don't think so

Make it happen. I'll take their 3rd this year and conditional pick next year. You can start negotiating with Romo right now if you like, Mr. Elway.

Don't think so

I don't think Jerry cares who wins a SB if it's not the Cowboys.

Jerry cares about dollars and marketing number 1

Another Texas team winning the SB would be a big marketing problem and affect the bottom line

Jerry is about the bottom line
