This is one of Jerry's trades.

It cost us a very good ball player.

------------------------

Rd 2 -
036 - (Traded to Dallas)

Cleveland trades 3rd round pick (#67), 4th round pick (#103) and 6th round pick (#178) to Dallas for the Cowboy's 2nd round pick (#53) and 6th round pick (#195)

Rd 2 - 053 - From Cowboys Eric Wright CB, UNLV

BIOGRAPHY: All-Conference selection last year, posting 29/1/8, after missing two games with a knee injury. Began his college career at USC, moving into the starting lineup as a freshman.

POSITIVES: Explosive defensive back who flashes the skill to shut down opponents. Quick-footed in reverse, is fluid transitioning to run with opponents and has a burst of speed. Flashes on the scene showing a terrific move to the ball then getting his hand up.

He will end up in jail or suspended. Then what?

And he may never play a game in the NFL due to legal trouble. I wouldn't want to touch the guy with a 10 foot pole.

Why didn't you post negatives? I'm sure there are some negative write ups about him. It's this type of behavior causes other members to jump down in your throat.

Only one of these guys has a chance to start, if you count the "nickel package" as starting.

OMG!!!!!!!!

Did you even listen to the Jerry Jones press conference this week, he said that he doubted a player in any round could have an immediate impact on this team.

So lets get this he tells you its gonna happen it happens and you turn into an absolute igmo

This is my first draft with Jerry — and he’s a wheeler-dealer!” new coach Wade Phillips said.

Jones spent the last four drafts getting Parcells’ input into every pick. With Jones squarely running the show for the first time since 2002, the Cowboys’ draft room was interesting from the start.
---------------

This is the fear many of us had. With Bill gone, Jerry just couldn't help it.

Instead of drafting the players we need, he decided to trade draft picks.

The result

- Another OLB [we already have Ware and Carp and Ellis]
- Another OT, who won't start

- No help for the secondary, where a 24th Ranked Pass defense only gets worse.
If you don't like this draft, that's okay, everyone is entitled to their opinion.I just thought it was refreshing to not pick someone because you like their father. To not pick a backup tight end in the 2nd round, when there is a quality offensive lineman in McNeil sitting there. To not waste a 4th rounder on a kick returner, who can't return. To not reach on a offensive lineman(Jacob Rogers),when your scouts are telling you he's not tough enough. How about Stephen Peterman. Also for a guy that's high on taking defensive backs, your boy Parcells didn't even want Terance Newman, their best defensive back,he wanted Kevin Williams real bad.I like Williams, but I'm glad he didn't get his way on that one.So if your going to make an opinion that Jerry will screw it up without Parcells, well Parcells did a pretty good job of it himself.

All I know is that Dallas picked up the guy I've coveted for a month. Anthony Spencer is going to make the secondary much better by putting pressure on the QB. If opposing QBs have all day to throw, it doesn't matter who you have as your corners and safties. Sombody is eventually going to shake free and the QB will find them. That tends not to happen as much when the opposing QB only has about a second to decide what he's going to do.

You really have reached a new level of stupidity ....

The guy was arrested for suspicion of rape and was found with 136 ecstasy pills in his apartment.

2006 Pass Defense..

#23 Commanders 218.2 YPG
#24 Dallas 219.1 YPG

What did the Commanders do today?

They just made their secondary even better.

The Commanders also had the 27th ranked run defense also. They also had the fewest sacks by any team in the league. Does Laron Landry play DT also to help that situation?

It gets annoying when people only tell part of the story just to support their aganda.

Who did Dallas pick?

Not too many top 100 corners left on the board.

Do you even know who is left?

We did not need a corner ..... it would have been a luxury pick.

We need some pass rush and some O-line help (we have needed the oline help for 10 years)
