Just hope Amare and Bell do not get suspended for the next game ..... do not want any excuses.

Some will say the same about Horry, though 1) losing Horry isn't as bad for the Spurs as the Suns losing one or both of Bell and/or Stoudamire and 2) what Horry did wasn't that big of a deal.

That's when they showed Jalen Rose cheering.

Coincidence? I think not.

I habe always known Horry to be a punk .... he is the only Spur deserving of the "Dirty" tag.

it wasnt bell, it was amare and diaw. After horry hit nash for no reason, which pissed me off cuz it lost us the game, amare and diaw left the bench and went on the court. In the NBA that is an Automatic 1 game suspension. well see what happens, i also hope amare and diaw dont get suspended, but im not gonna loose sleep over it.

Supposedly Tim Duncan and another teammate (can't remember) crossed onto the court during a 2nd quarter melee that was caught on cameras.

Rules are rules, but Stern will be making a ridiculous decision if he suspends three or four of the best players on these teams for simply standing up and NOT fighting.

If this rule were applied so strictly in baseball or football you'd have whole teams getting suspended. And I won't even mention hockey.

Soccer wouldn't have any player suspensions, but there wouldn't be many fans present.

it was bowen and duncan, but they didnt get suspended because the rule states that a bench player is not to go out of the vicinity of the bench DURING AN ALTERCATION! there wasnt a melee when that happened, just elson getting tangled up with jones

The problem is there are grey areas as to what is and what is not an "altercation." There are varying degrees of altercations.

What I don't understand is, if you're going to argue that it wasn't an altercation, what did Duncan leave the bench for?

it is a grey area, and i dont agree with the rule, but a rule is a rule. It wasnt an altercationg because both players got up and ran to the other end of the court, nothing ensued. The nash thing was pretty obvious that it was an altercation. As for duncan leaving the bench? he got up to argue for a call with the ref.

or maybe he was running to the scorers table to check in to the game:jerk:

I think Stoudamire is going to try to appeal this decision. In all honesty, he wasn't going to the scorer's table. Truth is he suddenly became hungry and wanted to get some of those tasty Texas nachos.

the more i read these threads and listen to the radio today, the more i cant help but feel that this is SUCH an unfortunate occurance.

this was shaping up to be a great heavyweight series ala spurs/mavs last year....and look at what we have now....no one is even talking about BASKETBALL anymore.

instead we're arguing about rules, fights, technicalities, suspensions...we have suns fans who want to physically harm the spurs, we have spurs fans who think horry has tarnished 34 years of positivity in 2 seconds....

it's depressing.

i just want to see a good basketball game, and i hope this series ends without anymore nonsense, whoever wins.

I don't buy that one. He didn't seem very animated, he wasn't making any gestures. He just went out and stood it looked like. It was pretty clear there wasn't going to be a foul called. Elson was hanging on the rim and he fell onto James. It could have easily turned into an altercation.

Amen, brother. That came to me full force this morning while checking out sports headlines.

These were the top five:

-Witnesses tie Vick to dog fighting
-Dale Jr. docked 100 points in NASCAR
-Horry, Stoudamire and Diaw suspended for game five
-Raunchy rap has outfielder in trouble
-Favre asked for trade

Good to see James Jones finally hitting some shots.

He's a good player he just needs to hit his open jumpers more consistently.

Yep. We definitely are gonna need some bench help tonight and JJ and is 1 of those players.

I love how Thomas is playing, he is truly our MVP in this series.
