***The T.O. Thread***

Can you imagine what kind of antics TO will pull with Edwards if he did what he did with Reid as HC? The soap opera would surely continue. ;)

After reading many threads and wondering if Terrell Owens could wear the Star next year I'm starting to think it might be a good match. I personally can't stand the guy but I want argue hes one of the top four Receivers in the NFL. After pondering about this I could see Terry Glenn, Keshawn Johnson and Terrell Owens forming a trio of Receivers for Bledsoe that gives teams fits and would be very hard to defense. If a Terrell Owens signing is in the Cowboys future than fixing the Offensive Line just became more important to allow Bledsoe the time to find his open target. In actuality the Signing of Terrell Owens, Jerald Sowell at Fullback and two Offensive Lineman this team could be knocking on the door next season. There are still a couple of quirks that need fixed on the DEfensive side of the ball and I think they can with the coming draft. Especially at Outside Linebacker and Free Safety that would be my first two picks. I think where this team is heading especially with the age of several players and Parcell at the end of his career, why not go for the Superbowl, but to get there Terrell might be needed.

i'd hug a rabid monkey if people would keep the TO fallout junk to 1 thread.

I agree then we can get back to talking QB and who will be the backup this year. :laugh2:

I'd much rather be reading those discussions!:laugh2:

True, but like I said in another thread: If you question his work ethic and his on-field production, I question your motives. It's easy to just say he sucks, blahblahblah, but.. he doesn't suck.

Is he a complete *******? No question about it.

But he's also a Top 3 WR in this league,

Not even close... look at the FACTS, and you'll see that in his last 2 complete seasons, Owens was 11th in number of receptions and 13th in receiving yards in 2003, 19th in the league in number of receptions and 10th in receiving yards in 2004...

Bottom line, he's never been near as good as he thinks he is... a top 10 receiver these days, perhaps, but just barely...

And even if he was the consensus best WR in the history of the game, he still wouldn't be worth all the crap he'll bring to a team...

No, no! You're selling out.

Always think for yourself. Don't let the collective thoughts of a bulletin board become your own. And never, never let an emoticon determine how you feel. ;)

But he's also a Top 3 WR in this league, and would make us have one of the most dangerous offenses in the league.

That's just how I'm looking at it, though I'm in the category of "don't really know how I feel" in regards to having TO on the Cowboys.
But the danger is to the Cowboys. Your bringing in a lit stick of dynamite not expecting it to blow up???? Whats wrong with that picture.

They came very close to winning the Super Bowl...Because of him not inspite of him.

Half the team was behind Owens...So He couldn't be all bad.
I bet half of Germany was behind Hitler and half of China was behind Moa, does that make them all that 'not bad' as well?

I told you Hos...people in your forum are eaten up with "big name-itis"

they think any big name, regardless of age, off field history, lockerroom issues, or declining skills would be a huge upgrade here and put the team over the top

this even though they have clear cut proof right in our own division (Commanders, Eagles) that just because you add a few big names, doesnt transform you into a championship team

The Pats and Steelers are the real model of how to win now and despite 4 championships in 5 yrs, people here still want to re-invent the wheel

 I couldn't have said it better myself, so glad you did.

Until TO signs with a team it will continue to be a topic around here.

it wont stop then either

then there will be 100's of threads about how Jones and Parcells were stupid for not signing him

Please Keep the TO posts in this one UNLESS there is an article or such which can be posted in a thread of it's own.

We don't need a multitude of TO opinion threads when one can do.

Thanks

Until TO pulls yet another boneheaded stunt.
