The compensation that idiot gave up for Lance becomes more ridiculous as more deals are made. Fields traded for a conditional 6th round pick that becomes a fourth only if he plays 51% of the snaps.

To claim that he is an idiot is a little premature when you haven't even seen Lance take a snap yet.

Some of what I gave is opinion and the rest came from those who cover the 49ers. As for Lance’s progress the Joneses haven’t seen him on the field in game situations with the Cowboys. They won’t know anything about his progress until he plays in games.

Newsflash buddy progress is made in practice, then translated to the field. Tony Romo showed progress in practice before he seen the field, see how that works?

There's no decision to be made - the $5miilion is guaranteed from Lance's rookie contract with the 49ers.
The Cowboys inherited that with the trade - so they must pay it in 2024.

That’s why he’s an idiot. Preseason snaps are meaningless. He is not going to become QB1 with his showing in preseason. So he’s not going to get a meaningful snap in 2024. And then he’s a free agent. The Cowboys still won’t have an idea if they want to retain him or not. The only good news is no other team will want him.

I've seen footage of him working with Terence Williams and Mccarthy was present just a few weeks ago. Why would the head coach be working with him in the off-season if he is showing some promise?
