I think a lot of us can come up with many reasons. But I guess we can always settle for a benching until next year. Then a kick out the door.

Getting benched did wonders for Crayton, maybe we should try it with Roy???

 Dear God, thank you for making sure that Jon88 has zero official connection with the Dallas Cowboys.

DITTO, dude has some kind of vendetta against the guy.. I mean if he was costing us game after game I would understand but just b/c he isn't putting up the #'s right now and having a horrible season doesn't constitute in benching him.. you didn't give up these drafts picks, you aren't paying him the money. All you are is some fan with a thumb up his ### half the time I am sure acting like you know what is best for the team

So since we gave up draft picks and are paying him so much we should play him.

You're a genius.

Roy Williams can't handle the pressure. But I feel as if maybe he need a change of environment.

Talk about the message that would send. "I don't care who you are or what you're paid, if you play like this you can go home and then start looking for a job elsewhere." It would be a great move to energize and motivate the team for December and on.

WHY? What is the valid reason for this?

No. He can't handle anything. Not even first down celebrations every 3 games. Irvin should have kicked his *** last season for those. He's terrible and he detracts from my enjoyment of watching every other Dallas Cowboy play. I can't stand him and he needs to ride the couch for the rest of the year.

Basically. I'm a Cowboy fan and I sometimes lose enjoyment watching the team because I hate him so much.:(

I don't hate him. The only person you really could blame is Roy Williams and the offensive cordinator. The wide receiver coach Ray Sherman doing his job getting all of the wide receivers prepared to play game day. I would rather have Terrell Owens than Roy Williams.

But suspending him is genius? Umm, don't think so. I guess when Emmitt wasn't producing the last couple of years he was here, we should have suspended him. It would have sent a message to the team and motivated them through December.

Roy showed up for the Eagle and Packer games. Yes, he made some mistakes and dropped a few passes but he still had his two best games as a Cowboy.

Now, the whole team laid an egg against Washington for almost the entire game? And you want to suspend Roy now?

Wow..... man, wow............

you people are UNBELIEVABLE....we are 7-3....and the media is getting exactly what they want from some of you fans....DRAMA! We have not won a playoff game since 1996...and worrying about someones stats is a BIG reason for this. For the love of God can we let the season play out....EVERY TIME WE GET ON THE VERGE OF SOMETHING.....SOMETHING STUPID HAPPENS!

NONE of our players had a great day in the passing game...that means the o-coordinator, the o-line....the QB....the WRs, the TEs and RBs ALL need to do a better job. The passing game was off yesterday....BUT WE WON!

Can Roy do better? Sure. But NO wr is going to last long in this league with the amount of times he is having to sacrifice his body to make catches....that is not a efficient passing offense....so either the QB, the OL, the o-coordintaor, Roy or somebody needs to come up with something better. You are going to have to make the tough catch and take the hit from time to time.....but TO was NEVER a guy that caught the ball in traffic....so lets stop acting like Roy needs to take the lumber every play to earn our trust. It's stupid.....sometimes you have to live to see the next play. The season is a war of attrition....we are 7-3 and our health is EXCEPTIONAL f'or this time of year. What starters have we had to IR?

Come on Cowboy nation, let's stick together and hope we end our drought this year....ain't no one else (media included) pulling for us....they might actually have to write something if we finally win a playoff game...so STOP letting them coerce you into eating your OWN!

I do not understand this venting on Roy Williams when the passes on crossing routes are sprayed all over the field.

I've noticed over the last ten years message board went from heral;ding the team to finding someone to blame for disappointment.

Once a guy is labeled, he is forever a pariah to the fans.

And in most cases the fans expectations and suggestions for correcting problems are so unreal it is laughable.

Dude, stop using logic already. I think TwoDeep said it best on another RW thread - people on this board have become so fixated with the drama that surrounds this team that they have to find the team villian and stick it to him every chance they get. Hey, if the team were 3-7 strictly because of RW, I would be calling for his benching, etc.................... (like many 'Skins fans are doing here in the D.C area regarding Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis, and Antwan Randle-El just to name a few). Yet, this is a 7-3 football team. I just don't get it.

That's an irrational answer. The truth is you like to bad mouth others you disagree with because it makes you feel like an interent tough guy. Your actions do betray your motives.

So every 7-3 team should just be happy and shut up? Get real. If the offense keeps doing what it's doing how long do you think we will last if we even make the playoffs?

Logic? lol... whatever makes you guys feel good about the ridiculous draft day decision made by the Cowboys FO...

Some things to note:

The media didn't coerce us into giving up three draft picks, 45 mil, and a segment of the team's future for this trash.

Thankfully we are 7-3... but if you means 7-3 equals nothing left to improve in order to win a Super Bowl you're viewing the current events through tinted shades.

If we don't get it in gear and somehow rediscover our "balance" Philthy or New York will pass us by... Don't look now. They're both just one game back......... (and neither team has issues with balance at this time)

Hmmmm.. Balance... what an interesting word. Miles Austin is no longer under the radar. Opposing DCs are now game planning for him much like they game planned for TO during his first two years in Dallas. When they roll coverage over to help take away Mile Roy has got to step up and pick up that slack! There are no if, ands, or buts about it. We need that solid #2 wr to even the playing field. Otherwise, Miles gets equalized. As a DC, if I can pretty much take away half of the field, i have a chance to have a very successful outing.

Lost in all of this is MartyB. He is now showing some signs of life. If we can put Miles, Jason, Martellus, and Roy across the field there's no way you can stop that if at least two of those guys are clicking. Witten and MartyB are showing signs of life so all is not lost. That said, Roy needs to silence all critics (incl me) and earn his ****ing keep.

Never said the team should just be happy and that they don't obviously have much to improve on. Yet, when reading all these posts, you would think that the season is over

See BleuStar, I can actually agree with everything you just said. No matter how much Roy is NOT producing, there are way more problems than just he. JG needs to drop the huge ego and put these guys in better situations to succeed.
