The Video Game Thread

So this is kind of cool. Call of Duty released two 80s action hero expansion characters where you can be Sylvester Stallone or Bruce Willis. lol I usually don't fall for these but this one may get me. I am just not sure which character I want. Also, they added Nakatomi Plaza to the Warzone map. I love it!

Oh and one more little bonus for us COD fans that go back, they added Standoff map to the 6v6 maps. I absolutely love that map. :D

Got an early sneak peek at Biomutant today. Looks real good. Lots of things to see and do. VERY LONG game. You could spend days playing it.

That is my main concern, how much gameplay are you going to get for 60$? Have heard conflicting reports as far as content goes.

I saw a tweet that said one of the developers was at the 50 hour mark and hadn't finished it. Another developer was at the 75 hour mark and hadn't finished it.

This game came from a company that only has 20 employees. Quite impressive when you think about it.

50-75 hours is pretty good then. Gonna watch a few more streams before release.

Some early reviews for Biomutant are coming in, they are all across the board from bad to average to good. Almost preordered last night because they were offering a 25% discount but decided to wait.

Well, my One X died on me today. The way my mancave is set up, the console sits really close to me when I'm at my desk. Heard it making some noises this morning around 7am. Not really that unusual, as it updates in the background, and sometimes you can hear it processing stuff. About 2pm, I could still hear it. I thought, "Wow! Big update! I'll see what it's doing!". Powers on for 2 seconds, then powers off. Ugh. Tried all sorts of reset options. Nothing. I noticed it started making a really uncharacteristic buzz noise in the back the more I played with it, especially when it was trying to power on. Sticking my nose to the back it smells of that burnt electronic smell. So, based off a few clues and some reading, I think the internal power supply went bad. I ordered a new one tonight. Looks fairly easy to replace. Hope that does the trick! If not I'm only out $40.

I still have my Series X in the living room but I still enjoy having an Xbox in the mancave to play for those times the wife is using the living room tv. Plus I paid $500 for that thing in 2017. Lol So, I'm not actually mad but it will bum me out if I can't fix it.

Which is weird to think about. I feel like I’ve been reading about this game for forever.
yup, a game taking this long, just release it when it's done. Don't keep delaying it then just say it's ready when it's probably not. I know this team is much smaller, but it's almost exactly the same scenario that happened with cyberpunk.

That sucks man. That burnt smell from any electronic always gives me a sense of dread. Hopefully it is just the power supply.

That sux man really! Do you smoke in there by any chance? I know that adds to the dust and shorten the life cycle. I was just half glad it wasn't the newest Xbox (the names threw me so thought that was the case initially) but definitely still!
