Days Gone has been good, basically far cry with zombies and human camps. (8/10) Open world, rpg elements, the bike could ride a little tighter but haven't really done much improvements there yet. Solid exclusive, I'm not sure what IGN/Gamespot were thinking bc they rated it about the same as Crackdown 3 which is a very avg. game. I would pick it up when it drops to $40.00 but also no buyers remorse.

Thanks for the write up, its on my list of games to get/eventually play.

I actually read a write up about the Gamespot review since it has apparently caused some controversy. I don't know if it's true, but the author is supposedly big into social justice politics, and apparently the game's protagonist offended her stances on these things.

Not trying to get political or say what's right or wrong. Just reporting some news I read.

She's also the person who gave a game a lower review score with IGN a few years back because the game had "too much water" in it.
I could easily see that. He doesn't have that redeeming quality you generally see with protagonists like GTA and Red Dead, more of a raw type. I actually like that he's more of a realistic lead; curses, doesn't have much "sympathy" for people. Early on, a guy is caught cheating him so he has to kill him; no options, etc. Just part of "that" world which I prefer but could see someone seeing it as gratuitous. Too bad about the sjw reviewing a violent video game, what did they expect?

Loot Boxes are sure causing a commotion. Can't say I oppose this idea or at least some form of regulation on it.

https://www.pcgamer.com/us-senator-...-banning-loot-boxes-in-games-aimed-at-minors/
These loot boxes seem almost specifically geared towards kids or addictive personalities in general. I've never spent a dime on it, but have had other vices in my life where I could see myself going head first into it if I came into it at a different time, etc.

I remember the borderlands style loot boxes were cool more so just because it was always fun to "open stuff" and that light rush of the unknown is what was intriguing; or that gun or weapon you've been missing. That then converted into paying real life money to "open stuff" (EA/2K do this a lot too with their sports games) and created this whole other demon. There are adults who spend their own money on this stuff too so can see the backlash of being told how to spend one's own money from a consumer perspective.

Picked up For the King on ps4. It plays like digital board where everything is decided with dice rolls. Played with two friends last night (3 players max) and it was great.

I had a female friend last week, give me that trilogy (3 sequential disks) of that ps3 MASS EFFECT space marine action/shooter game(s) ,I just finished the first original game right now
( been forted up on the couch for damn near three days straight:lmao:), since I've really only enjoyed playing Fallout&Skyrim,,,this was/is a different twist in gaming for me,,,as you'd launch your intergalactic space ship through something like ancient orbiting huge rail guns to FTL travel to various galaxies,,, & that 6 wheel drive A.F.V. with 4 point vertical jet assist thrusters was pretty BAD-***:lmao:

I love a good game that can suck you in like that. Reminds me of Horizon Zero Dawn. From the open-world design to the story that game was awesome and I couldn't stop playing it.

For those interested World of Warcraft Classic will launch Aug 27 and will{obviously}require a 15$ a month sub.
https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/wor...ndars-wow-classic-launch-and-testing-schedule

Mark your calendars: WoW Classic goes live worldwide August 27! Whether your battle cry is “For the Horde!” or “For the Alliance!”, there’s no shortage of adventure awaiting you in the vast continents of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.

Watched a few people playtest on YT and actually forgot that at one time WOW was actually a pretty good MMO that was pretty tough.

Dauntless launches today on all platforms. I haven't played it, but it looks like a good Monster Hunter style game.

It's free to play, and it surprisingly has cross play between every platform.

"If the trademark dispute had kept going, ZeniMax and Bethesda wouldn’t have been able to use the term “Redfall” in its marketing until summer 2020. "

Interesting what they say about not being able to use the name in marketing before the summer of 2020 of not settled. Could be nothing. But it could also be begin officially marketing the game well before.

If thats the case, then it also means Starfield is getting closer to release. Im very excited that game

Already, really? Give it a break Sony I still haven't completed my PS4 library yet.

Right? This is exactly what I was saying the other day to a buddy! I was reading a rumor article that the next gen PS4 and Xbox (due out next year) may be capable of playing 8K. Well, that is cool but.............I am just barely getting into 4K!! Haha

Technology. Awesome today. Obsolete tomorrow.
