Well, I finally fired up Madden 24 last night and played a game. I've had it downloaded from Game Pass for some time now, but for some reason never had the desire to play it. Played a bit last night. It was fun. I enjoyed it. Definitely more of the same. The graphics (on Series X) are absolutely fantastic. Very nice-looking game. I noticed they've removed 'The Yard' though. That was a game mode I used to enjoy, which is disappointing.

It did get me a bit more hyped for NCAA 25 though.

..well guys, I've been having unexpected fun with Warhammer 40K- Inquisitor. Lots to do, over 100 levels, many perks and tweaks.

It was either this or Red Dead Redemption 2. I held off on RDR2, cause I heard its LONG ....story. But good. ;)...

I like Inquisitor. Haven't played it in a minute though.
I might break it out now.

College Football bout to rock it again !!! Been so long. I actually stood in line at Gamestop to snag it back in the day. Everyone's a LOBO WOLF WOLF WOLF
Wait. You actually stood in line at a GameStop?
When NCAA Football was at its peak, you could get the game a week before the street date and then showed it off to your friends because they “pre-ordered” it.

Anyways, after viewing the details in the last couple of days, I’m seeing a bunch of repetition in the presentation and animations with the cut scenes and that was one of the negatives with NCAA in the past.

I always stood in line to get my pre orders at Midnight. Hell I was on the local news waiting at my mall for 3 hours for my steelbook release of Halo 2 at Electronics Boutique. I stood in line for many releases, like Zelda, even the midnight release of the original Xbox at Walmart. Guess you're too young to get it. But us OG's know what's up. Any how just pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe NCAA 25 and get to play it at 2. Thank God no more lines these days haha.

Me too young?? The only midnight I did was for PS2. The only game I did stay for midnight release was MW2 (2009) because I was off work.

I basically said in my previous post was that all of your midnight releases were a waste of your time, because at that time, all of the games you waited in line for, people were getting those same games early.

I guess you too young to remember that mom & pop shops could care less about the official release dates. Us OGs really know the true MVPs of new game releases.

Apparently Bethesda is planning on supporting Starfield and TES6 for 10 years or so each. Supposedly the plan to have 1 story DLC every year for that time from. Thats supposedly their new model. Very long way off, but if this holds true will be very interesting to see what these games look like after 10 years

2024, 2025 and 2026 are gonna (likely) see some big franchises with new releases. GTA 6 is coming out in 2025 and will be the most hyped video game ever. Elder Scolls 6 is believed to be a 2026 release, and that will have a massive amount of hype as well. While not in the class of those two but still a very popular series is Dragon Age Veilguard this year.

Ive seen some people looking at 2027 as a possible Witcher 4 release date

I'm picking up what you're putting down! It was just a fun thing to do with friends back in the day. It's so early 2000s. I remember waiting in lines (or at very least heading out at midnight to go grab a midnight release) for certain games. Last one I remember heading out at midnight for was Guitar Hero 2. lol

Good times.

Can't edit real players or recruits in ncaa 25. Kinda sucks.

Glad I didn't drop 70 on it
That's the biggest complaint I've heard so far from people is that there is no create a player. I've never really gotten into that whole feature of Madden/NCAA football games, so not a big deal for me, but I get why people would want it. That and I've heard it's tough to play defense. As in the CPU has some wild catches and plays and will put up points on you.

I keep going back and forth on purchasing it. I've watched some videos and it does look great. The graphics looks fantastic and the presentation/sound seem really good too. I missed my chance to get it on Gamefly (rental stock already says super low on it) and will be waiting awhile if I go that route. I really want to play as Boise State again, so I'm guessing I'll be giving in..........probably today. haha

I got ea trial for these months, lol, for the 10 hour trial.

I always liked tweaking or creating made up players. So, to lose it here sucks. And I played as Georgia tech, so...
Always liked to relive the Calvin Johnson era with a true superstar player

Well hopefully they'll update that feature into the game for those (as yourself) that enjoy that feature. I am curious why they would leave it out in the first place?

I've read NILs as a reason, but for offline play, who cares? Guess there was talk about players who opted out?
Need to read more into it.
I think EA fears that people would not only create players that opted out but create brand new classes from future years which could mean a potential loss of revenue when next year game comes out.
