Being the sucker that I am, I bought Madden 21.

Franchise looks exactly the same. Same scouting in season.
But, all-madden + simulation is giving me fun/challenging games without having to mess with sliders too much.

Most games are within 10 points going into the 4th quarter. CPU players are slightly smarter and will run out of bounce this year under 2 minutes. Mobile QB's will scramble more frequently(Murray torched me for 100+ yards)

I can tell the difference between a QB like Haskins and Ryan/Wilson. Offensive line seems slightly tweaked for ratings. Williams is the weak link in this game and I'm putting Biadasz through a trial by fire playing him in his rookie year.

Tackling/physics is improved a bit. Less scripted tackling and sometimes you can get a 2nd defender in to stop the forward progress.

CPU QB's can make mistakes this year when pressured.
Some games I can go 140+ yards with Zeke, or last game I had a 2.4 ypc on 22 carries.

Overall, I can tell I'll get bored quick in longer franchise seasons but at least the games won't be blowouts.
First year i passed on madden in a long time. Im on that 2k21 tho.

Man I used to love Age Of Empires. I remember my roommate and I had our computers networked together and we would always play each and yell smack talk at each other from our rooms. haha Good times!

The one pictured, Age of Empires 3 is being remastered and released on Steam here in about 6 weeks. I played the beta and it was kinda fun, will probably pick it up even though I stink :lmao2:

i usually put madden on all madden and go a franchise but this all madden is horrible......the completes every pass even under pressure .....but ill end up winning 35 to something like 28 every game and that’s just not cool to me

But ive been having a ball with face of the franchise though

That's interesting. What coverage do you run? I've noticed my DB's in zone 3 almost never breakup passes, but in man they can get a hand on the ball and breakup a pass. But in man, better options for YAC.

You blitz often? When I blitz I rush 6 men , with zone coverage, and can get QB's to throw it away or get an errant throw here and there. But overall the CPU does complete a lot of passes on default sliders.

i run cover 3 zone and cover 2 man ive never been a heavy blitzer

As soon as they snap the ball they throw it complete.....ive even seen a receiver morph to the ball (i dont know what that was about)

In the past I never really blitzed on obvious passing downs, but this year it seems to be more effective for me.

The amount of glitches this year has been pretty bad. Used to get a white screen every 7-10 snaps and one game the field paint went away. Really wish they would get competition again for the NFL.
The entire Xbox one/PS4 era they didn't have the same features in Franchise as they did in 360/PS3.

So many features went missing on ps3 and especially on ps4, and all their efforts went into MUT $$$. EA is just proof of pure greed and laziness. But it's sad that people keep giving them their hard earned money, EA wont stop until they dont make several hundred millions a year in microtransactions on Madden alone.

Decided to start up BioShock last night. They remastered them and gave away the entire BioShock collection on PSN a few months ago. I played it way back in the day, but, I never actually finished the game. So I plan to do that now, plus, I never played the other two. Gives me something new to do. Plus, it's such a fascinating and beautiful "world" to traverse.

You're not alone, I got sucked in too. Everything you described is true..I do like playing on the DL again though in Franchise. I think I played maybe 8 games total over 3 weeks, I used to do that on day one in the old days. Already collecting dust, etc.

Wow that is pretty bad. This game needs a new engine or need to rebuild this game from the ground up. It feels like Madden 21 is the accumulation of years of band aid patch fixes that are now making the game go haywire. They never fix the root of issues, so the band aids are bouncing off of each other and making the game confuse itself.

You would think since it is the same game year after year, and I assume their budget is over $50 they could clean it up for launch. Just laziness/greed at this point.
Before the no paint on the field incident I had to download a 3.5Gig update.

the blocking IQ is atrocious as well

More than once i ran a counter play and my Guard pulls and goes up the field and runs right back to the line of scrimmage instead of blocking the incoming safety or linebacker

thats the kind of stuff that’ll get you a pink slip in the NFL

Yea, it's sad I've come to expect that type of cpu animation by now.
Usually for me it's the fullback going for the block 20 yards downfield instead of the linebacker 5 yards away.
Especially when Dallas has linemen with the sliders high on lead blocking. Pointless attribute.

So, I got on my EA Pass and seen they had Madden 21. I downloaded it. Funny thing is, it seems I have access to everything but it says it is a trial. So, I have no idea if I'm on a time trial or what? Either way, I dipped into it last night. Does seem like more of the same, lol, though it did feel (to me) like they cleaned up the menus a bit. Still, for some reason it all feels overwhelming to me with all these characters creations, madden cards, and 10,000 modes. I'm an old school guy. I want to pick my team, hop in a season, and play.

Game play and graphics felt good though. I was absolutely pounding the other team with Zeke. :D

Yeah, EA pass gives you a 10 hour trial then you have to buy it. Franchise offline, or exhibition online/heads up is all I play. I can't do the MUT and coins yada. Too old for that...
