Well i can see where your problem lies. You think Dak should be like Mahomes and it isnt happening in fact I dont believe there is anyone who could make that claIM. and yes even the great Patrick mahomes makes boneheaded plays you just forget them because he make so many more positive ones.

You just cant stand your QB and there isnt much thats going to change your mind. Mahomes isnt available and no one else close to that talent level is. dak is it all the incestant whining isnt going to chaNGE THAT.
You mean dak isn't as talented as mahomes? I had no idea.. I don't think dak is anywhere close to mahomes.....and I certainly don't hate Dak. Im just tired of hearing people blame everyone else besides dak for our below avg offense.

i loved cooop...he was much better than he's ever given credit WHILE HE WAS HERE...lotta folks changed their song when he was traded.
but over all...our receivers aren't that bad...i think they've played well.

Not to mention that he still has his Casper moments on road games. I live in Cleveland, and people here are seeing what we Cowboys fans know about him.

How many had any shot at being caught. Just off the top of my head ib remember one into 3 defenders, one to nobody, one in thee ground.

How many yards did mahomes have? How many drives leading to scores of 50 plus yards did the chiefs have? How many did Dallas have? Educate yourself to how stats can paint the picture you want?
I have to educate myself on stats? You literally claimed that 90% of Dak's throws were under 10 yards. He literally threw half of his throws over 10 yards.

I don't have to argue with you about Mahomes yesterday. That wasn't my point. Just correcting your obvious inability to understand what it is you are seeing.

Dude...below average offense? When? Yesterday?

It certainly wasn't last year lol

Any discussion of Mahomes should also include Andy Reid. Anyone who doesn't see that Mahomes gets more layup Tds than any other qb in the history of the game isn't watching very closely and are only watching the box scores.

who is? he is generational talent but if youre comparing our guy to him your just setting him up for failure. Everyone isnt blaming everyone else but dak that I am aware of but its a team game. is it daks fault that we have presnap penalties? Is it daks fault we have a holding call that makes it 2nd and 3rd and 20? is it daks fault Noah coughed it up at the 1.? Or a coordinator that calls the stupid plays he does to put the team behind the chains/Dak is part of the below average offense but he can only control so much. I blame Dak for the ball that was thrown high to brown even though it should have been caught. Or the ducks he got away with I blame dak. he is reliant on other people.

I would much rather rely on the run game than daks arm but even that our coordinator cant do right very often. When its working he goes away from it or schemes an outside run that requires a block from schultz that cant block my sister.

What do you mean by layup touchdowns?

Cooper is a great talent, but was inconsistent and dissapeared at times. I do think the Cowboys miss his slot play, but ultimately our final game results wouldn't have been much different with or without him this season.

Receiver does look like it's a need for this team, along with a new offensive coordinator but don't believe Cooper was the long term solution here anyway.

This conservative, run-based gameplan is nice but to make a deep playoff run, they will need the WRs to make plays. Previous Super Bowl winners all had great receivers/TEs:

2021 Rams: Kupp, OBJ
2020 Bucs: Evans, Gronk, Antonio Brown
2019 Chiefs: Hill, Kelce

As of right now this is a bottom-15 WR/TE group in the NFL, even counting James Washington.

What do you mean by layup touchdowns?
I mean shuffle passes that end up in tds...or 2 yard screen passes.

I think a project i am going to undergo is see how many of those he actually has...it is the highest in the league by far....has to be.

Are you watching the games? Look at kelce catching a td from Mahomes yesterday. The db was all over him, the difference was mahomes hit kelce perfectly where he could catch it, and the db couldn't touch it.
We lined Turpin up in the slot 1 time that I saw, he went deep up the middle breaking to the corner, he was open for a td, but check down dak doesn't even look at him. There is a reason dak completed 80% or whatever he did yesterday, his avg air yards is about 6.

So you think on that play where dak threw deep into triple coverage that there wasnt someone else open?

I was at game so haven't watched replays but I vividly remember another player wide open in endzone and dak refuses to look at anyone past 10 yards on 90% of his drop backs.

Players are there, he just stinks at reading the field.
Great post.

Well I think most qbs have the majority of their touchdowns in the red zone. Just last season Dak and Mahomes both had 26 td passes inside the 20. Dak had 21 inside the 10 and Mahomes had 22 td passes inside the 10

Amari Cooper stats with the Browns this season ..

Opponent - Catches / Targets (yards)
--------------------------------------------------
1) @ CAR -- 3 / 6 -- (17 yards)
2) NYJ -- 9 / 10 -- (101 yards)
3) PIT -- 7 / 11 -- (101 yards)
4) @ ATL -- 1 / 4 -- (9 yards)
5) LAC -- 7 / 12 --(76 yards)
6) NE -- 4 / 12 --(44 yards)
7) @ BAL -- 3 / 4 --(74 yards)
--------------------------------------------------
Home = 27 / 45 (322 yards)
Away = 7 / 14 (100 yards)

In 3 away games, Amari has caught 7 (that's SEVEN) total passes.

This was my issue with Amari. He's a really good receiver, but he disappears in games, especially away games, way more than he should for a player with his talent.

Sometimes getting rid of a good player helps your team by either allowing someone else to step up or forcing the team to find a new better player to replace them.
Fair point. Although it also has to be said he's in a heavily run oriented offense now
