Another reason to watch it.....

it was interesting ,will watch the rest of the series.

I'm with you there BP, zombie movies and straight to tv movies are so entertaining. I've done a thesis paper on the possibility and outbreak of a virus that emits similar symptoms to the average zombie outbreak, no 28 days later zombies with steroids.

I watched the making of about a month ago and got into the comic (or as much as I could access from online). Its amazing of the likeness the characters have to the comics. I was amazed in the amount of detail the zombies have, for a series nonetheless. The first episode set everything up very well in my opinion. Maybe he will learn how to drive a tank?? :D

I was hoping he would start that tank up and burn a bunch of them that were standing by the exhaust. :laugh2:

I was hoping he would put a shell in the breach and waste a ton of them.

I watched the premier. Looks like it might be a pretty good show. I have them all set to DVR.

The timeline of him being in the hospital and waking up there seemed a bit off to me but all in all not a bad looking series.

It did to me too but later it said he was in a coma. So I guess him being lifeless in a coma, he just got left behind.

I was waiting for him to disable the car alarm the next morning...so the guy and his boy would not have to worry about it bringing more dead around.

Also was a powerful scene with the father/husband with his dead wife in the guns scope.

Well, I was mainly referring to how later in the show the guy said the gas had been off for a month. If the gas had been off for a month then the dead must have been attacking at least that long. So how long was it before they took over the hospital? I guess it could have been a while and the hospital was operating without gas but he couldn't have been left alone for too long and survived.

Ya, I don't think I could have done it either.

Just watched the first episode very promising, i'll keep watching this for sure

Love the Romero style zombies and not the silly running zombies in more recent zombie movies

My son and I finally got around to watching this last night.

We both really liked it. Was a little slow at first, but suspenseful. Thought they did a good job setting things up and look forward to seeing the rest of the season.

What did everyone think of the 2nd episode?

Will be interesting to see how the guy they left on the roof comes back into the story.

Will watch E2 later, looking forward to it

Didn't think ep2 was as good as ep1, but it was still a good ep.

I thought ep1 was more emotional with the guy wanting to shoot his zombie wife and Rick going back to end the half zombie's misery. Ep2 was more like your typical zombie movie we've all seen 50 times.

What I hope happens to roof guy is that the zombies find their way to the roof and start eating him while he's hand-cuffed to the pipe.

What I think will happen is that they will come and rescue him.

I guess you have to expect some of the typical zombie movie stuff. Without that, the emotional/philosophical stuff won't be as intense. Plus the zombie interaction is pretty cool.

I thought it was interesting that some of the zombies were using rocks to try to break the windows of the department store and also climbing the ladder and fence. Usually, you just see mindless creatures that are stumbling after food without the cognitive capacity to use weapons, work together or even keep the same train of thought for very long.

Totally agree on the guy on the roof. I think the preview showed his brother in the other group, so I'm expecting a rescue attempt. Has to be some significance to the guy knocking the tool bag off the walkway too.

On a related note, has anyone else read World War Z or The Zombie Survival Guide?

I thought about getting World War Z or another zombie book Called the Rising (think that is the title).

Been a fan of zombie movies for years but never read any books about them.

Have you read either of those and if so are they ok?
