Tebow. At least he can run the read option. Chew up time off the clock and Dallas can possibly win a 13-10 game.

And I think this team's weapons set up nicely for the short passing game, which would help to minimize some of Tebow's obvious issues with accuracy. I think this team has a plethora of position players well-suited for that style of offense.

Cris Carter "mentioned it" as he talked about Brian Hoyer doing well in Cleveland and how JFF would be popular in Texas. He said the Texans could use him to fill the building, and then he just had to mention Dallas if something happens to Romo.

If you would have told me Peterson and JF in the same backfield for the DC. I would have asked for your drugs. This may well be the new circus for next years lineup. You know jj would b eating it up from marketing perspective.
I hope it does not come to this which will mean TR and Murray (class players) are done here.

I think Dallas should take JF off clevelands hand for a 3rd rd pick, Dallas should take nothing less than a 3rd. lol

If they are willing to trade him for a third or fourth then id be all for it.

Somehow i doubt they look to trade him anytime in the near future. The earliest this would get done is the offseason 2016.

They have him under a cheap contract for 5 years- there is no rushto get rid of him.

I wonder about the fan base sometimes. The support for players like Brent, Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy, and now JF. Do some of you, not pay attention, to what happens off the field? Or is it all about winning? I am surprised, I have yet to see a post about bring Ray Rice, in.

Yeah I was thinking a 4th at most, ideally a 5th. I think that's a pretty reasonable trade.

I can see this. Jerry wasn't happy when he was talked out of taking him. It wasn't about how good or bad a player he is, it was about
him being a bling pick. Jerry still loves the bling.

Fans tend to like it as well. How many fans bought Larry Allen Jerseys vs Troy Aikman? Looking at the stands and seeing 88 with Dez name on it yet not Martin jersey? Meat and potatoes we need but let’s be real you need the bling in this league as well and it is much harder to find. I think JF is not so much bling as he is fool’s gold.

It is not that he can't "beat out" Hoyer for the job. Cleveland is pulling a typical Cleveland. They are EXTREMELY HAPPY with their current record and do not want to upset the apple cart. Hoyer is a hometown boy that is very popular. Mike Pettine and the GM are very inexperienced and don't know what they have in JFF. IMO they would have won two more games with Johnny on the field, however that is a risk they aren't willing to take. They will be ecstatic being a middle of the road team - which is light years better than they have been historically, and Hoyer will deliver them to their version of The Promised Land. I'm glad Johnny isn't playing yet. Learning from the bench is way underrated IMO. If we get him, GREAT. IF we don't, we'll get someone else. Bottom line is we NEED someone really soon because Romo appears to be barely hanging in there.

Yup, that's why it scares me if Romo goes down hard or harder than he already has. JFF will be a cowboy.

Why would Cleveland move him so fast, they have a cheap back up QB with upside on the books for four years. Unless someone was paying over the odds for him which would mean getting back more than they paid (1st rounder +) they would have to be insane to do it, and yeah it's the Browns but they seem to be righting that ship.

You can't see that some one being Jerry?

This glosses over the fact that he would have and should have had to pay back $3 million in bonus money. Something he was never going to do. And if "money wasn't an issue", why did he take a $5 million deal with Buffalo? The fact is that money is always an issue.

That's all the leverage anyone needs and it's the point everyone wants to gloss over in defending the stupidity.

Orton was the second player to get "Money for Nuthin'" from Jerry Jones and this franchise, reinforcing the terrible precedent established by the Jay Ratliff debacle, another embarrassment everybody wants to erase from memory and pretend never happened.

The Orton situation was another botch job that I'm not about to excuse or pretend never happened.

And it tells the next malcontent that if you cause enough problems in Dallas, you'll get whatever you want.

No one is excusing the Orton situation or pretending it never happened. It is laughable that you think anyone has done that. He didn't want to be in Dallas. There isn't much they could have done about it and there is no reason to trust and rely upon a player that has that attitude.

In the past I would have said yes, but if all the Jerry stories are true about JF, then there are peoplemaround him that can pull paper right out of his hand to prevent him making these mistakes. The Texans may get frisky though, they really need a QB and that Clowney pick is under fire right now.
