Yes, irregardless is a word.

If you do the research it was a *******ized word that was created by public misuse.

Like let me axe you a question. Or end quote, which is also incorrect, but most of the media uses it like toothpaste.

Proper language dictates this is not a word.

Well, some apparently know the King's English better than others.

I digress a bit, but here is something that's always confused me.

I am a Cowboys and Spurs fan. I understand that a lot of people in the media hate the Cowboys because the Cowboys get a lot of attention. OK, fair enough.

But a lot of people in the media also hate the Spurs because the Spurs are quiet, under the radar, non-controversial and get little attention. So I'm like, what?

Why does it work both ways against both teams?

I gotta be honest, I am kinda meh on the Cowboys right now. Probably because I don't know any. You are a division rival which matters to me and the talk here is fun

If anything I "hate" the 49ers and Steelers more. Cowboy fans in the DC area have gone in hiding.

It is easy to understand your feelings. Fans tend to hate teams that are on top or teams that are a threat in preventing their team from being on top. Dallas has not been a consistant threat for years.
.
I also understand the Cowboys fans in DC. In my area, Cowboys fans once outnumbered Saints fans by a big margin. It don't take long for fans to get fed up with average/below average teams. Why walk around with Cowboys gear from head to toe and suffer the abuse of other teams fans?
It is hard to defend the team or show pride in it when the the team has only won one playoff game in over 15 years. Cowboy fans are not in a position to talk smack to anyone. The bright side to this is that the Cowboys are not alone in their misery. There are some other teams that has fans with no room to talk as well.

The worst thing about being a Cowboys fan is our record since our last Super Bowl win.

Embarassing.

Im not tryna be a dick or anything but why are you here, I understand that the internet is a free for all but the fact that a skins fan is on a Cowboys msg board prove my theory, you guys secretly LOVE us I know Skins fans that watch more of our game than most Cowboys fans. The funny part is I never see any true cowboys fan spew hate toward a skin fan unprovoked.

As an "other fan" I can guarantee you the hate against the Cowboys has zero to do with being called "America's Team", and has even less to do with jealousy lol...

You know the "hate" and irritation some of you have shown towards RG3 due to all the hype you feel he gets and that it's undeserved, how you get tired of hearing about him every other segment on NFL Network/ESPN/etc? How he's really not all that good and time will show that he's overrated? How it feels like he's being shoved down everyone's throats as the NFL and sports media tries to sell him to everyone?

It can't hold a candle to what NFL fans have had to endure concerning the Cowboys over the last few decades.

So, unless you guys are admitting that you're simply jealous of Griffin and that your irritation with him is based primarily on his nickname, I'd say you're more than a bit off here lol...

This statement would make sense if the media had positive things to say about the Cowboys.

Its not the hate. I know why we're hated - everybody else is just jealous, I get that.

The absolute worst thing about being a Cowboys fans is we get compared to the Yankees, Celtics or Lakers, and Montreal Canadiens. And we get all the front runners on our band wagon.

We are not like the Yankees in any way shape or form IMO. The Skankees have a fan base of idiots like no other, well except maybe the Red Sox. Cowboys fans are some of the classiest most decent people among fans of all sports teams. That can never be said about Yankee fans! The Yankees always seem to get the calls in their favor. MLB favors the Yankees. The NFL has never favored the Cowboys in the same regard.

We arent like the Celtics or Lakers.

We arent like the Montreal Canadiens.

And I hate being associated with the front runner fans that follow those other teams.

I understand that but the worst part about being a Cowboys fan for me is a portion of the Cowboys fanbase. They're incredibly stupid and football ignorant yet they'll try and carry themselves as experts.

I don't think I've seen fans of any other team, in any other sport, with as large a portion of fans like this.

The only ones like that are usually fans that agree with every move the Cowboys make and predict 12-4 records with Super Bowls. It is strange that some fans write very long post with their opinions that is presented as facts. Some give a breakdown of the team just like Garrett except they are not on the team.

The worst thing about being a Cowboys fan is that the bar was set very high in the 70's and early to mid 90's and anything short of a deep playoff run or SB victory is a disappointing season.

It's true. Hard to eat hamburger when we dined on filet mignon for so many years.

Go live in the Washington DC area and you will change your mind about other fans stupidity. Philly fans would likely rival them for the top spot, but doubtful even the Filthy fans could match the Skins fans.

I'm a Cowboys fan and live in Waldorf. I wear my Cowboys garb all the time and very rarely catch crap. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of hatred for Cowboys fan in what I presumed was "Commander Country".

Worst thing about being a Cowboys fan is how I have to listen to other Cowboys fans tell me we're going to win the Superbowl 3 months after we just finished our second 8-8 season in a row. Then have them tell me all the guys that sucked last year are going to be good this year. Then having to watch the season where all the guys that have always been bad are bad again and the Cowboys finish with another 8-8, 9-7 season. Then 3 months later...

Here in Memphis there seem to be about equal parts Cowboys/Steelers/everyone else fans. I catch some crap, but I also get a few positive comments now and then when I go out in Dallas garb.

I do know a lot of Patriots bandwagoners who like to run their mouths. They're the same guys who have been Miami Heat fans for the past 2.5 years.

You are incorrect. I am redefining the word slang to mean what I want it to mean, even if it is used to express the exact opposite of what I am trying to convey, just like "irregardless". If others can make up words and meanings, then so can I.
