So now we're giving Dak the dame kind of rope you'd give Brady and Rodgers? Two of the best qbs in NFL history? Guys who for a decade have shown themselves to be accurate? Verses a guy whose career is still so new that every game is VERY instructive.

You're embarrassing yourself.
It's really like you don't watch anything other than the Cowboys play. You don't see that there are throws in EVERY NFL game that taken on their own merits, would point to poor accuracy. NFL QBs are human after all. I've yet to see a stat stating Dak is worse than any other NFL QB in accuracy. In fact, his stats says he is toward the upper half, not the lower as you seem to want to say.

Your eyes are liars in the face of numbers. Sorry.. It is what it is.

Dak was not drafted before the 4 th round

he is not accurate - has no touch on his passed

http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/dak-prescott?id=2555260

Weaknesses Beat up this year thanks to poor protection. When he wasn't being sacked, he was being hit hard. Not as competitive a rusher in 2015. Sacks and usage in run game might be taking a toll. Increase in short pass attempts from 86 to 208 this year reason for higher completion numbers. Accuracy on intermediate and deep throws dropped sharply. Pocket poise has been compromised. Hyper aware of pressure around him and lacks awareness to slide and find temporary shelter to make throw. Concern over pressure too often trumps ability to get through progressions. Must speed up the pace of his reads. Footwork is a mess. Slight stride onto stiff upper leg with little weight shift. Restricted follow through and too often tries to muscle throws with upper body. Throws to target rather than leading or throwing them open on short/intermediate throws. Too respectful of underneath coverage and must be more willing to challenge the defense. Needs to improve anticipation.

NFL Comparison Brett Hundley

Bottom Line Hard to find an NFL comp for Prescott because he's built like Donovan McNabb, but lacks McNabb's ability and polish. Prescott has NFL size, mobility and enough arm, but the tape shows a player who must improve his mechanics, poise and quickness through his progressions if he is to become a full-time starter in the NFL. There are absolutely draftable traits and upside, but he will need extended work to smooth out his flaws. Until then, a team would be wise to utilize him on short-yardage packages
There is also a reason why you are not an NFL scout....

I have 3 tvs in my living room (the cockpit as I call it) including a 10 thousand dollar (at the time) 65 inch LG OLED 4K. I've had 3 district cable boxes and Sunday ticket for a half decade. I do nothing from 10-830 every Sunday (west coast) but watch all the football. So no the Cowboys make up a small fraction of my football watching.

If we were simply talking about one play from one game or heck even just a single game where Dak has accuracy issues I'd say you have a point. Except... You know... Dak through 4 games now has had real accuracy issues and its a concern because A) he's played so few games in his career that every game he plays still has tremendous value and predictive input and B) Accuracy issues were a knock coming in from college and C) throwing from the pocket in rhythm from under center were things he started to do just last year. And it's clearly not ingrained and he's having issues when he's under pressure and even from a clean pocket (in his own head?)

Oh and as far as stars go....
Most of Dallas’s metrics are roughly the same as they were last season, with the major exception of the passing game (and some faulty special teams). Last year, in QB Dak Prescott’s first NFL season, he led the Cowboys to the sixth-most expected points added (EPA) through the air of any offense in football — a highly effective complement to Dallas’s second-ranked running game. But although the Cowboys still rank among the top five in rushing EPA, Prescott and the passing offense has fallen to 19th in the league in EPA.

Prescott’s traditional numbersaren’t bad, but he’s all but stopped throwing the deep ball and the Dallas receivers are picking up very few yards after the catch. The result has been an aerial attack that struggles to move the chains, keeping the Cowboys from scoring as many points as they should.

If you haven't seen that Dak has shown significant regression I've got to ask you... Are you even watching the Cowboys play?

Dak is a 2nd year player. Anyone that thinks he is hopeless after what he has accomplished already is a complete and utter buffoon...

you want instant gratification, go get yourself a hooker...
The ole exaggerate the heck outta what people are saying to be right troupe I see. Most are saying anything close to he is hopeless. They are saying he has regressed or not doing as good as last year. That's not the same thing. I think some of y'all need to stop being so defensive about this issue just like some need to be less critical. He can be criticized within reason but some of y'all are making it like this guys Brady and above it. I assure you he isn't.

Dak's stats are lower than last season (duh) because he was superhuman last season. The main issue I see if a serious uptick in balls going to Dez over Beasley. Dez Bryant is averaging 3 more targets per game than last season. Taking those targets from Beasley. Dez is catching 40% of the targets(down from 52% last season) and please don't say it's Prescott's accuracy issues causing the poor %. Dez is well covered and Dak is forcing the issue.

I understand that, when Dak misses, he tends to miss bigtime and that has convinced you he is having issues. But the majority of the time, Dak doesn't miss.

This is nearly the same thing as you guys calling Romo a choker after his spectacular mishaps. In both cases, they are the outliers and not the rule as backed by statistics.

BTW: EPA is the basis of Total QBR which Dak is 3rd in the league in....

Ok lets go by what your saying. Exactly what are you saying? Are u saying Dak is up to par with the QB you mentioned? Are u saying we should totally disregard the proof of inaccuracy because its not an exact science? What is that your saying? To me its so onvious that he js not accuarate at all. He sruggles with passes past 20 yds.

Against the Rams Dak threw 14 balls to Dez 7 were deemed uncatchable.

And at least one (probably more) of those was because of yet another poor route ran by Dez

Ugh come on. Sure i agree Daz is a poor rour runner but did watch the throws his way. They missed by u yards easily. Come on. Tell me you didnt see it. That last drive actually scared me. He missed Dez by 20 feet and hr was open.

I watched the one where Dez ran a curl route and Prescott threw the ball as though he were not running a curl route. I also noticed that sort of thing only happens to Dez

I think this is some of the growing pains that come with tweaking your throwing mechanics. When he misses passes he should make or is off in placement, it's usually on passes to his left.

But anybody saying Dak wasn't accurate last year either wasn't watching the games or has some sort of agenda. His accuracy was spectacular last year.

Even still, I thought he played pretty well against the Giants, Cardinals and great against the Rams in the first half. The pass pro has dropped off significantly and we really need to figure out what to do about the left guard and RT spots for next year and it may be a good time to really consider more Rico and less Witten as well as a WR that will be in line to take over for Dez.

Im sure that happened but how many times did you see Dak over throw Dez by a huge margin. Last drive of the game. The most important drive of the game Dez was open and Dak missed him literally by 10 yds. It was not even close. Thats the norm unfortunately with Dak.
