For the many years I have watched this team, I always hoped every Sunday that this team would fulfill my prediction that this team will always come out on top, no matter who they play. Deep inside there is always certain games that I would have my reservations, but never waver in my hope that the outcome would meet my expectations no matter how flawed that particular Cowboys team was. This year has me feel like the early 90's, I am confident this team can beat ANY team in the NFL. it's been a while since I have had this feeling, but it's because the way this team wins. The style and character of this team has a consistency that can travel week to week, and is just down right nasty. This team can and should earn they're stripes this weekend and finally get the respect they deserve.

Nice write-up!

I just hope they don't fall in love with their press-clippings as they will climb to the #2 spot in the league, give or take spot...I wouldn't be surprised at #1, but would by #3.

I agree for the most part, but I felt it in 2014. At the time I said the same things you are saying now, the team had an early 90's feel to it.

The defense holds me back from falling into this scenario. I am still loving the team but have seen too many seasons to be complacent.

Pats will be #1 all year, but rankings don't really matter. Feb 5th the #1 team will be known.

Thanks bro... and I agree, as long as they don't eat the cheese and stay hungry, they have the formula to run the table. Tough game this week, but it sure feels right.

The defense still needs some work to be top notch, but they are scrappy. They are getting opportune turnovers (something missing last year) and they are never going to look like a dominant unit with the 'bend but don't break' philosophy. So I'm enjoying their good play, and it's actually better than 2014 IMO because the DBs seem to be playing the ball much better this year. So I think that overall we have as good a chance to win as lose against anyone in the NFL.

Scrappy is an accurate analogy, I am sure next year's draft should address the defense, as well it should, it is the weak link... But tip of the hat is in order so far this year, you have to love the way they play, lacking the talent, but giving the most, it's easy to pull for them, they are actually responsible for a part of the win column, though the offense is a much bigger role. Got to love this team.

That's what I'm saying. With their ascension in the rankings they will dominate TV and radio. They need to put blinders on.

2007, 2009 & 2014 were all teams that were worthy of Believing In. Liking what I'm seeing this season but it's not even halfway through yet, so the belief isn't totally there. Least not yet.

I feel confident whenever they step on the field, that they will win....even with this defense.

We have the best QB duo in the league, IMO. So that depth makes me feel good.
We have a nice group of RBs. Our rookie is tops in the league in yardage. Morris is a solid backup. DMC was 4th in yds last year. Dunbar is a solid change of pace guy.
Our WRs have stepped up, even without Dez. Beasley is having a great year. Williams has made strides. Butler has dones some nice things.
Witten is Witten. Swaim is coming along nicely. If Hannah comes back, our running game gets even more dominant.
Our OL is the best in football. Our right side is studly when running, and the left is very solid. In the pass game, Free is the one weakness.

The DL has slowly started getting more and more pressure on the QB. They have done a decent job of containing the run.
Our LBs have done ok, but I feel this is the weakest group of the defense. We need to add some youth and athleticism to this group.
Our DBs have improved leaps and bounds. I actually have confidence in this group for the first time in a very long time. They look like NFL DBs.

We have the best K in football. Our P is pretty darned good. Our LS is one of the best.

This team is fun to watch again. They are not only playing well, but winning. There is no selfish drama tearing the whole thing apart. I love it. Imagine how good the team will be once we take the training wheels off of Dak's bike. Having Romo there to help him has been outstanding.

2007 was a very good season, but it did not have a feeling of the 90s to me . 2009 really no feeling of the 90s, we had a very aging OL, and some and their play was sporatic, we did not have that RB.
Now we have THAT RB, and a young OL that is very very good and working their way to becoming a great OL.

This team reminds me of the 2014 addition. The defense may be better in some areas (Secondary play, overall talent at DT and defensive pts. allowed) but has the same issues with pass rush and so far isn't forcing as many turnovers. I thought the 2014 team could beat anyone in the League too. I just hope the 2016 team keeps improving, continues to overcome injuries, the pass rush begins to come alive and the turnovers come in bunches.
