Lol i would bet heavy that if he went to another team and had problems you would have several threads moved out of this zone because it was about another team..thats how invested you are in him, seriously you couldnt help yourself. lol I have said so many times now I'm all for an upgrade..lol
We're 4-0 without him right now.

That seems like an upgrade to me.

Who cares what the stats look like? Winning is what matters.

No matter who the QB is, going for the FG was the best move. Time running down, up by 12 points, D is all over the place. Go the the dressing room safe and sound with a win.
I agree with that. But I also believe that he would’ve gone for the touchdown and put the game away. There was eight minutes left. If I recall if it wasn’t for an interception at the end zone. It would’ve been a one score game

You’re wrong
We were up 9 and the FG made it 12
The FG should have been the right call no matter who was the QB
The way our defense had played all game, you want the other team to have to score 2 TDs to win
Even so. If it wasn’t for the interception on the goal line. Rams would’ve made it a one score game. The coaching staff would’ve put the game away and go on for the touchdown. And you know it

Late in the fourth quarter cowboys up by six . fourth and five for first down. Maybe six I truly don’t recall. Well I do recall his watching McCarthy on the sidelines and I know he wanted to go for it. We kick a field goal. If Prescott was in there do you think McCarthy kicks that field goal. I don’t.
That call had nothing to do with who was QB, it was prudent to get the score to be beyond 1 TD and 1 FG.
Smart with the way our D playing , getting 2 TDs back to back in 5 mins was improbable

I think I heard the talking heads after the game say this conservative approach/running was decided end of last season. Maybe I misheard?

Sure is and if thats so then you understand you want the offense to get better and it would with better QB play...unless you have a not team reason for wanting that? would the offense getting better somehow make the defense worse?

I want the offense to have more points than our opponents at the end of the game.

That's all that matters.

I don't think Dak will makes the offense THAT much better. The version of the offense that we need to succeed is the offense we're playing right now with Rush. I don't think Dak can run that type of offense either because Rush is better at reading things and getting guys in the right places. The run game isn't what it was in 2016 when Dak drove that bus.

Dak was good for 3 points the last time we saw him.

Tampa Bay scored 19 points against us. Cooper Rush has NEVER led an offense that scored less than 20 in a game. We're 5-0 right now if Rush starts from Week 1.

I believe ALL the coaches have seen the light after TOADIE'S injury and they're in agreement that with this defense they don't have to gamble as much as they did before. They're taking WHATEVER points they can get and letting their defense dictate the game. So, to answer your question NO I don't think they would have gone for it and kicking the field was just what the doctor ordered.

I’m not arguing that he changed. It makes absolutely no sense to go for a 4th and 5 up by 9 points with less than five minutes, that’s just not smart football. Mike’s an analytics guy and I am absolutely certain the analytics see take the points in that situation.
I’m not arguing if it’s smart enough. This is the type of stuff Mike typically does. People questioned his clock management all year and most of his career.

Well first the offense didnt score 20 against the Rams so thats not accurate...second do you truly feel Rush is a better QB than Dak...since you want to work in 3 quarter body's of work..has Rush ever score 30 in 3 quarters on anyone? Has Dak ever lead the 27th ranked offense in a season? You can prove Rush would've won the Buccs game? Do you like having the lowest scoring efficient offense we have had in years because somehow it makes the defense play better...if thats so can you show me exactly how that works? are you triggered? you also must have missed 2016 when Dak literally ran this type of offense better..but continue.

I feel that Rush does things better than Dak and Dak does things better than Rush.

I don't believe Dak is just this head and shoulders better QB. I believe the pay gap between them is MUCH bigger than the skill gap. That's where the problem is. There shouldn't be any questions as to who the QB should be, but there are, and it's not just on this message board either.

Rush has never needed to score 30 and until we need 30 and he doesn't get it then it's all speculation on whether or not he can do it. I'll say to you the same thing I've said to others that bring up his hypothetical stuff and that is talk to me when we lose a shootout with Rush.

I like having a higher score than the opponents at the end of the game. You guys can whine about whether or not the stats were pretty enough or not. I'll just take the win.

First there really isn't a question on who the QB should be if your asking anyone qaulified to scout NFL QB's , if the offense was better and more efficient and the defense continued would we not be scoring more than these opponents just with a better offense? The only person whining is you..again thats the funny part, if Dak were winning like this you would be all over it because anyone can see it. For all of your "Best for the Team" talk your certainly taking a hard line on an offense that is not playing well by any measurment....why would you be happy about that? Have you knot told many on here "Dont settle for mediocre" well right now we need the offense to get there before we can settle for it.

I don't know what is mediocre about 4-0.

Oh I forgot, THE STATS, my bad.

I keep forgetting that the stats and how pretty things looks is much more important than the wins and losses to the Dallas Prescott fans.

It tells you all you need to know that Rush started, rather than rushing Dak back into the line-up.
Maybe not on purpose, but the Cowboys team has shifted their loyalties to Rush.
He is getting it done.
