This is why you have to consider all options at 10

I know BPA- but I’d feel a lot better about Pitts if we could secure a trade for Gallup 1st. I don’t want to trade Gallup, but the reality is that it’s going to come down to him or Amari and I won’t be surprised to see Amari restructured with the cap being tight this year. Cashing in on an extra pick for Gallup while adding Pitts to keep the offense high powered does make some sense. Just not sure what Gallup’s worth is...gotta imagine he’ll net us at least a 4th comp if let walk after the year so I’d need at least an earlyish 3rd

I think you nailed it. Pitts is basically the George Kittle version of Michael Gallup. I know he's not the inline blocker that Kittle is, but he fills two roster needs simultaneously as the #3 receiving option on most plays and the #1 option on a lot of short yardage and goal line plays. This guy completely changes the offense while replacing Jarwin and Gallup at the same time.

I just don't see how you can pass over a guy most defenders can't cover just so you can take one of the guys who couldn't cover him. It makes no sense.

For you needy folk.

On face value, a TE at 10 seems ridiculous but while the Cowboys have a lot of skill position talent on offense and have an emerged Dalton Schultz as a legit starter they do not have this kind of dynamic presence at the position. (First one to say Blake Jarwin gets Butcher head noogies.)

That's not to say he's my target. I want to use that pick for a QB. Probably in a trade up. But this is why you acquire talent in the draft and why you must consider Pitts because he gives you something special.

I would gladly take Pitts at 10.
I been preaching this for weeks.

It’s pretty self explanatory you have to consider all options at 10.

Id take someone like Pitts or Chase at 10 in a heartbeat because they are 2 of the best players in the draft. Figure out how to deal with or move guys on the current roster later.

So a more talented Jarwin. And maybe blocks as well as Jarwin. With all the vertical weapons who is going to catch the underneath stuff. The offense is stacked, you could convince me to take OL but a TE at #10 when there are so many other pressing needs.

no this guy has the talent to be as good as the KC te.

Lol where do people get the idea that Jarwin is even any good at all? Dude is rarely healthy, and even when he is, will disappear for games at a time.

I dont consider him good, but all the allure others have i the fact he is a converted WR.

That is said every year about 1st round TE. Either Kelce, or Graham or Gates of yesteryear. The best TEs in the league most of them were not 1st rounders.

Nothing would be more fitting than to hear every analyst say "That pick was the Pitts."

Would be a perfect memorial for the last 25 years.

Just, please, no reaching for "need"
