24 of those 30 points in the first half. The defense gave up FGs, the offense needed to be better and win this game.
SEVEN field goals, to be exact. And not a single takeaway, of course. The defense stunk. LOL since when is 35 points allowed acceptable as long as it took a ton of field goals to get 35?

As for Dak and the O, 30 points is 30 points. It doesn't matter when you get them. If all 30 came in the 2nd half, the complaint would be that we got off to a slow start.

Dak was part of the problem today. Said it before, I'll day it again, Dak is amongst the worst QB's in the league this year (on tape). I don't know what happened this off-season, but he's taken a massive step back. I hate it too, got to hang out with him this off-season, he's a quality guy with a capital Q... But, it doesn't mean anything if he's not a winner.
Dak not a winnero_O

Dak literally has 14 pts directly to him by shaking off sacks and finding guys. He wasn’t the issue for sure. Coaching. I feel like I day this yearly but we lose games at half a lot.
Pretty much. We get out coached all the time. It’s a bye week for teams in the mental game. So many say we’re easiest team to scout and don’t do anything different.

It's called JG effect. Same thing happened to Romo when JG tried to make him into Brady.

He's one of the worst qbs in the league this year? Are you joking?

..and by that, I mean it was really on the following:

- Special Teams. Miffed P/R, followed by Switzer letting a punt bounce down around the 5 in the following punt instead of fielding it and then allowing the long return from their P/R (or was it K/R?). The ST really killed momentum at the end of the first half.
- Garrett/Linehan. Do I need to explain this?
- Offensive line/Witten. Like Broaddus says "I think you need to watch the tape". Every single O-linesman was beat and beat more than once. The Great Wall of Dallas, they are not.
- Marinelli. This soft crap in between the 20's isn't cutting it against efficient offenses. We're the Patriots'/Falcons wet dream of a defense to dismantle. Take some friggin' chances. We aren't getting off the field on 3rd down, so throw in some blitzes once in awhile!
- Heath Experiment is over. I was a strong advocate for him due to his spotty "play making" ability in the past, but he sold me a false sale of goods. Start Woods in his spot.
- Jaylon Smith. At this point, he's a liability every where except for pursuit/gang tackles. He just plain gets washed out of run plays heading towards him. Hopefully Hitchens comes back because we're getting gouged at the MLB spot.

Dak wasn't the problem tonight. For the missed throws he had, he more than made up for it with playing off-script. Bottom line, he did enough to win you the game. Even if Aaron Rodgers was in there, he wouldn't be able to do much more with that Tecmo-Bowl offensive scheme we've stubbornly been running. We've gotten away with it in 2014 and 2016 because our O-line/run game was dominant, but these predictable, long developing pass routes aren't efficient enough. The simplistic passing game is the Achilles heal when the defenses know you're going to pass...always has been. We're rubbing sticks together to create fire while everyone else have BIC lighters. We have to adopt more quick slants, rub routes and pick plays. We can't seem to work screen passes without tipping out hat, so cut that crap out, too! Overall, we don't have the WR guns to play the style of game that Garrett believes is best.

And as an added bonus: I applaud the Officiating Crew for basically "letting the teams play", but they let waaaayy too much go on in the trenches. It was 2016 GB Playoff game levels of bad! I can't count on two hands how blatantly the Ram's O-linemen were "working outside the framework", hooking and tackling our D-line. Not that our O-line doesn't play in the grey area, but nothing like I saw tonight.

We took bait on Heath. How he was leader and in practice he made plays and it didn't surprise players in GB last year that he played so well. No longer. I am done with all of that. Start to work Wood in and if he isn't their guy then draft again or sign FA.

At the end of day Dez is Dez.......the difference so far this year IMO is Beasly and the TE position. Remember he was the teams LEADING pass catcher last year. This tells me either he, Jason or Dez are first or second option on most pass plays. Teams seem to have taken some of those short crossing routes away from Beasly. Notice last week they had him outside on a few go routes. That's not his strength. In fact, the farther he's away from the LOS the less impact he has. Add to this Dak isn't getting the 3-5 seconds he had a lot of times last to scan the field. I hate to say this but think leads back to the OL ( maybe Leary in particular ). We're still waiting to see a dominant performance from the entire unit for an entire game. That pretty much automatic last year......not so much this year, yet.

The only real problem I have is...... The forced throws to Dez, which he does zero read progression.

Bingo- he was obsessed with looking for Dez today, to the detriment of the team. Why?

Just my guess but Dez is likely one of the first three options and with Beasley and Witten not enough time for fourth. Be nice if they moved Dez around a bit more.

Dez 13 targets, 5 receptions, accounted for half the incompetions Dak threw. At what point do they stop forcing the ball to him?
The QB needs to do a better job at getting him passes to catch.

Its like some of you skip the game and just read the stat sheets

I can name 3 uncatchable balls off the top of my head

1. Dak throws a deep pass when dez runs an out

2. Dak air mails a pass 10 yards past dez on a crucial third down when Rams had all momentum

3. Dak forces a pass in double coverage in the endzone thats almost picked

For a team that is always talking about how they decided a draft tie breaker based on the ability to return kicks, we have the worst return game.

Loss on Dak? Nonsense. You can't reasonably ask any offense to light up the scoreboard for 30 plus points every week just to keep the club competitive. This team has an dysfunctional defense and, until that is addressed in a meaningful way, we are in for misery of today's sort for the foreseeable future.

Same thing I said when folks would blame Romo for losses when the D would get completely lit up......I still remember folks skewering Romo for the 51-48 loss to the Broncos because he threw a pick late (when he was getting hit in the leg). It’s like some folks agendas completely forget that, in the 2 losses this year, the D gave up 35 points in each game.

Blaming Romo for that Denver game was stupid too.

Dak is going to be fine. his real thing is hes not very accurate, but pretty sure that can be much much better with work and everyone says he is extremely hard worker.
his game is so much better than last year, throws way better and made lots of improvement understanding defenses
it was great to see him shut up the Giants after they worked him over last year.
off season we seen major improvements in rookies, Dak will keep getting better because thats the type of dude he is.
its so funny people here act like hes lazy Jamarcus Russell or something! how stupid.
he needs to throw more accurate. hes throwing harder which is great but now get that control. hes just turn 24 people give him a chance lol.
unless you trolling then whatever
