This loss was on Dak

Jason Garrett....period. I have to say Strength & Conditioning too....always seem to be physical man-handled at times. This team is gonna get Zeke beat down soon.

JWitt needs to get spelled at times. Dak (unlike yesterday) rarely has another TE to look at....down field.

The offense scored 30. 30 points should win you a game The blame lies with the defense and Ryan Switzer.

I agree, but the offense was tripping over it's own shoelaces in the second half. The inability to move the chains in the second half gassed our already below average defense.Had we been able to put up some drives lasting 5-6 minutes, and even just getting 3 points out of it, we win yesterday.

I mean he basically did.

Romo was a top 5 QB for so long.

Love Dak, but Romo was seriously awesome

No he didn't. He didn't play all the other positions I listed. Did he play OL? No. WR? No. TE? No. RB? No. DL? No. LB? No. S? No. CB? No. Special teams? No. Get over it.

Not arguing, just saying our problems are bigger on defense than on offense.

I agree 100%.
D-line and linebacker corps need a lot of help. Add in SS too. Never ending rebuild it seems.

We get Irving back at DE. Hitchens soon at LB. Our main prob is safety. Jones has regressed, Heath is beyond bad. And we need Awuzie back at CB to put Scandrick on the bench.

That we do, but Irving and D-Law both play at LDE, so it'll be nice to give D-Law a breather, but still need that pressure from the RDE.
Hitchens will be a welcomed return, but we definitely need to draft 1 or two next year. Lee is no spring chicken.
Definitely need to see Woods out there over Heath.

Agreed with OP. This loss is on a lot of ppl, but Dak isn't one of them.

However, Dak is not playing like he did last year. It's pretty clear. Last year, he played like a seasoned 5 yr vet. This year, he's playing much more like an awesome (typical) rookie. My biggest prob with him is lack of decisiveness. That could be a problem with the receivers and their stupid routes, however

Romo carried a 4-12 roster to playoff contention.

Dak is good when everything is perfect. He carries nothing. Yet.

And what did Dak do last year with a 4-12 team? The team that said we want Dak and essentially out Romo in retirement with help from his back?

People can say what they want. The Cowboys are still a good club that just happen to get beat by another good club. The offense needs to get a lot more consistent and the Defense needs some upgrades. Still a draft or two away from the SB. Everyone knew that coming into the season.

That will come with time and experience. Last season everything just seemed to fall right for the Cowboys...it just didn't feel right to me...it was too darn easy and that put expectations through the roof. Its expectations that are the fans biggest enemy.

It's the same thing all over again. Romo had to deal with all the crap Dak will deal with. Horrible coaching, horrible play calling, horrible defenses, it's just who the Cowboys have been the past what 10 years?

Oh no, Romo was the problem, Dak is the solution, a winner, a leader. I have heard it here multiple times!

You guys help out here. Did Dallas abandon the run, in the second half?

I usually am with you on most posts but I can't get behind this one.

For one, 2 more drafts away from a SB is mind numbing to me. This process started 3+ years ago when we started to put assets into the OL. It shouldn't take 5-7 years in the NFL to build a SB caliber team if you have the right leadership making the right decisions.

And 2 more years is Year 9 for Garrett. Oy. Like I have always said, I fear he's our Marvin Lewis. Not good enough to win anything of value, not bad enough to get fired when he should.

It's really a sad Monday morning.

Well when you can't keep drives going with conversions, you end up abandoning the run.....Dak is not running the ball control passing offense he ran last year - that is easy to see. I don't know what the problem is but he is not getting that done this year. Is it the Oline and protection - to some degree I think so - but he also does not have the pocket precense we saw last year either.
