But I get it. You are in full blown excuse mode now.

And no, I don't think the D has the pieces. They have no real safeties and are counting on Wood to eventually seize a spot. They might have a MLB issue if Smith can't improve. They lack a dominant 1 tech. And even with Lawrence they aren't a consistent pass rushing threat. Their best defender is over 30 in Lee and probably won't be as good 3 years from now when the D finally might be competed.

Oh and they have an average DC.

But other than that, the D is awesome.

Well it’s a combination. We’re at the point where a huge FA signing or 2 could catapult us near the top. It needs to be defensively.

I'm not against bringing in a big time free agent......but who are these guys you want? You guys are playing armchair GM and talking about what we should get but aren't bringing up any solutions......

LAwrence has been injured and suspended here as well. Don't get me wrong........i'd take him on my team but i'd be more interested in finding a linebacker or a situational pass rusher. Not sure if spending max money on Ansah is the smart way to invest in this defense.

At least 2 drops were in his hands.

They should give up quit throwing him the ball. Then if defenses quit using their top CB on him maybe go back to him on occasion.

The offensive flow was maybe the best last season in the games he missed.

I said Ezekiel Ansah and I’d go after Morgan Burnett at SS. 2 sure starters that know GB’s scheme whom by the way have knocked us out of divisional round twice in 3 years you do that and draft :

We didn’t have money this year. I don’t blame them with the exception of church. I think he got a reasonable deal we could’ve matched. We took his run support and discipline in assignments for granted. I think the jags gave him 4 years 24 million... I think I would’ve matched that. I mean we gave Heath 4 years 14 million I think church is double if not triple the player Heath is.
