I think this validates our point superpunk. I love it when someone posts a statement, says its a fact, but cant provide a link or anything to prove it. Lets all just assume Iceberg is a JJ hater and leave it at that.

and last year yes, jj did fumble and yes, was benched. you wanna call me a liar YOU go look it up and prove it or just have a cup of **** and move along, ok?

Did I miss something, or did we draft MB3 this year?

Damn, he's got us "running in circles" again superpunk.... :lmao2:

again, even if i did it would make no difference, you'd still feel the way you do, i'd still feel the way i do and no opinions would change.

you tell me what difference it would make, ok? so far i see "none" coming to mind so i don't see the point.

say i prove it - what will you say then? odds are you'll go on the same stance for the same reasons and find a way to make it worthless in the overall point of the argument. i've done it enough to know when people say PROVE IT doing so never ends the discussion. since it won't here, i see no point in it.

think what you want, i just don't care.

If you prove it, you might have a leg to stand on. Otherwise, since NOONE else can recall any such thing ever happening or being reported, I have to assume you're making it up to support your argument.

no, you got me on that one - i was wrong there. it was last year when vinnie was an INT machine and it pissed me off to no end to see jjones get benched (for a few series) and get THE LOOK but when vinnie lobs up int after int we get DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH HE CAN SQUAT???? in defense.

parcells has dual standards. period. sorry for my mistake on the player that came in but it was not my initial point so i didn't worry much about it. my bad.

I'm soooooooo dizzy. :abuseme:

To be fair, though- he never claimed we were running in circles. It was some other guy, who brought absolutely nothing to the discussion.

You need to clarify yourself then. If you want to say he was taken out for a drive or two because he fumbled then fine. I will agree to that, next time please be clearer.

Hmmm.....three consecutive 5-11 seasons, interrupted by an abberation, followed by 6-10. I think that might have something to do with considering a chance at 10-6 a success.

Unlike 2003, you really get the sense that this is just the beginning, not some fluke resulting from a pitifully easy schedule, and a defense playing well above it's actual talent level. This year, you can see the pieces in place for the future, and it looks bright. Noone in their right mind thought this team could possibly best 10-6 this year, with all the new peices, and the new defense, and the really tough schedule. But, it has shown flashes of brilliance, and come through in adversity. They've had some real tough breaks (kickers...) and kept plugging. They know they're just getting started. That is why it is a success. Because it is a sign of future success.

I beg to differ with you. This season is the aberration and 2003 was the real thing. In 2003, the Cowboys was tied with the Jets for the toughest schedule. That team faced the two toughest defensive divisions, the AFC East with Buffalo at no. 3 and the Pats who went to the superbowl and the Dolphins who went 10-6, plus Carolina who went to the superbowl, the Bucs who were defending superbowl champs and the Falcons who were a playoff team the year before and the Saints who went 8-8 in 2003. The Giants and Eagles also went to the playoffs in 2002. I believe the Jets were also in the playoffs in 2002, so that's 10 teams that good the previous year.

Now, as for the 2005 team, the NFC is way down this year because the loss of qb's like Culpepper,McNabb,Bulger and injuries to 2 of Green Bays tripletts.
This team is the 'true imposter', because struggle with and get beaten by the likes of the Raiders,Lions,Niners,Chiefs who wont make the playoffs, plus the only team in our division that we swept is a Eagles team that's in complete disaray. Even with all the additions to this team, the qb position takes a second half swoon just like the previous years.

big f'king deal. if i do prove it you'll just assume something else to still be right. the entire "MIGHT" stance proves you won't give a damn what i say or do, you'll still lob out a few laughing emo's and think you're right.

been there, done that, and we called him mike graney.

But WHEN did that happen? I cannot remember JJ getting benched at all last year. He was getting 30 carries a game while Eddie George rotted on the bench. Where you see dual standards, I see personal equity, and lack of a better choice. BP wants to win games - period. That is why VT started every game, because he was our best option.

i know that's what you see which is why it's pointless to show otherwise cause you'll still see it "this way". thank you for proving what i just said.

And you just keep making up crap.

Lets just say I believe what you are saying for a moment about JJ. So you're saying that a rookie RB got benched for a series or two because he was putting the ball on the ground is clear evidence that Bill Parcells doesn't believe in building teams for the future?

Because you actually look dumber if you are telling the truth on this one.

I already know how you feel about Quincy Carter, and see no need to have any sort of conversation with you about how great he is. You can continue in your delusions about that team, most of them came back last year, and the rest of us are aware of what happened.

Outside of QB and WR we are one of the youngest teams in the league.

At WR Crayton should be able to adequetely replace Keyshawn this year or next. So if we pick up another WR in the draft we are set there.

As for the O-line, we tried to address it with youth but missed on Rogers and maybe Peterman. I'm sure more draft attention will be paid to it this year.

QB I'm not going to get into, there's enough threads on that.

The defense is young and will get much better next year. While we will probably lose guys like Glover and Ellis in the next couple of seasons, we have good talent behind them ready to take over. Our secondary is still young and Reeves is starting to look like he can probably replace the only old guy back there, Glenn. Just need to add a real FS.

I fail to see how you can look at this team and think we will be back to 2002 level anytime soon.

We were actually in good shape the first half of 2002, it was second half of the season with when our offense went from 18th to 31st. Our defense played pretty well overall. Lookout in 2006, we play the AFC East and NFC South again as well as a revitalized NFC East and with Bledsoe's history, it wont be very pretty.

wow, i asked someone else to compare what drew did in the later part of this year to his entire history to see if it was consistant and i never got a reply on that. they got too busy being jr high tough on a board and lobbing out laughing emo's.

drew is what drew is - while possible he can win, it's not likely.

I don't know who Mike Graney is. But a central part of the argument you were making, is the point about JJ. If that isn't true, then that doesn't leave much except personal feeling, and preference, which you're entitled to. But, if you're going to make an argument for something, and put things out there as facts, you better be sure to back them up if people call you on it, or don't know what you're talking about. Any one of us could make a legitimate argument for Lousaka Polite making the hall of fame if we're allowed to just make things up.
