I beg to differ with you. This season is the aberration and 2003 was the real thing. In 2003, the Cowboys was tied with the Jets for the toughest schedule. That team faced the two toughest defensive divisions, the AFC East with Buffalo at no. 3 and the Pats who went to the superbowl and the Dolphins who went 10-6, plus Carolina who went to the superbowl, the Bucs who were defending superbowl champs and the Falcons who were a playoff team the year before and the Saints who went 8-8 in 2003. The Giants and Eagles also went to the playoffs in 2002. I believe the Jets were also in the playoffs in 2002, so that's 10 teams that good the previous year.
Now, as for the 2005 team, the NFC is way down this year because the loss of qb's like Culpepper,McNabb,Bulger and injuries to 2 of Green Bays tripletts.
This team is the 'true imposter', because struggle with and get beaten by the likes of the Raiders,Lions,Niners,Chiefs who wont make the playoffs, plus the only team in our division that we swept is a Eagles team that's in complete disaray. Even with all the additions to this team, the qb position takes a second half swoon just like the previous years.
