This season is partly on us fans (including me)

Imagine if AT&T Stadium had half of that passion from Cowboys fans? You see Hurts shaking his head there with the fans raining boos like that. You know it bothers him when the fans get ruthless with him. Maybe it's time we learn to do that. Maybe it's time we actually ask Eagles fans how to properly boo our team. How to properly hold our team accountable.

the cowboys are Americas corporate team and the stadium will continue to be full until opposing fans get tired of watching their teams pummel the home team in AT&T. It’s gonna be a while until that changes and we’re bound to have a good season or two until that happens so the cycle will just restart. We’re stuck….

That’s not happening then because opposing fans love coming to TX and whipping that a— like the lions just did and then celebrate in the parking lot while our fans walk by with their heads down.

Always have said the fans need to organize a walkout. That’s the only thing that would truly embarrass Jerry. It would also put him in a tough spot because he can’t go at the fans without looking dumb.

Sure, but maybe this is an opportunity, and this may have been a better way to write my OP, for us as fans to change our approach to the team. Maybe instead of the same old same old show up and such. Maybe it's time we learn, since this team is heading a bad direction and there's clearly no chance of a SB this year, how Philadelphia holds the Eagles accountable. Maybe it's time we understand why Giants fans are so harsh on their team. Sometimes it's justified, and we play in a division with 3 fanbases that can teach us how to be brutally honest with our team. Maybe we can learn, as a fanbase, how to call it how we see it instead of buying Jerry's lies. He lies because he knows he can get away with it in Dallas. He wouldn't be able to get away with it in any other of our rival cities. Maybe it's time we learn to call it like it is with our team, and tell Jerry how we honestly feel. He's bothered by criticism. Let's use that.

Or, even if not a walkout, we should be honest. Not only would other fanbases respect us more if we were actually honest as a fanbase about our team (as opposed to some of our fans believing everything Jerry tells them), but we might actually learn how to be direct. We might learn how to be tough fans. We might learn how our rivals treat their teams. There might be things gained from a complete rebuild of our mindset as fans. Maybe we can learn to tell the media what we honestly think about our team. Instead of walking out and quitting, we can be honest and tell the players during the games that they suck and the performance isn't acceptable. You think Eagles fans would just walk out if they were run like we are? Hell no. Think Giants fans would accept what we are being fed? Nope! They'd tell the ownership directly to get better or get bent.

I love a long way away too as I live in Cleveland. But I'm more trying to get us as fans to realise that maybe it's time we rethink how we cheer this team in and such. Maybe, instead of boycotting or what have you, we learn a different way to treat this team. Maybe we can ask our rival fanbases how to be brutally honest with our team, and how to give the criticism they give. How to call into the media and make Jerry, who's shown he can't take criticism, as uncomfortable as possible. He can't ban all of us.

Gosh. Well I refer back to my dear departed father's old saying regarding the Cowboys the season before he passed. No nonsense military man. His words that day after we had lost in the first round of a playoff game was as follows.

"You can't polish a turd. As soon as you get below the surface the smell comes back and there you are looking at a turd once again. "

Well yeah, but it's time as fans, since it's a frustrating time and we knew what this season was likely going to be like, that we learn to be brutally honest with the team.

I actually respect Philly fans in a way. Not how they treat opposing fan, but how they don't put up with the BS. Like, I wish the entire stadium chanted "FIRE GARRETT" at the 2013 loss to the Matt Flynn-led Packers when we were up by 25 points.

I think calling the team a Turd for years is brutally honest. We are what we sre.

No doubt, but I think it's time we do to them what our rivals would do to them if it was their teams. It's time we make it as hostile for them as possible when they want to show the kind of cowardice. I know the team's not very good, but they flat out quit in that game. I hated it in 2019 when I saw it, and I hate it now.

Exactly. I hate how they treat opposing fans, and I'm not advocating we do that. But we DO need to be like them in the sense that they wouldn't let this crap fly. We need an entire stadium of Jerry Sucks next home game (ironically against the Eagles). We need an entire crowd getting as loud and brutal with the team as possible. We might actually get help from Eagles fans during that game who will probably also be calling for Sirianni's head during that game. We need to learn how to not put up with this crap from them. It doesn't fly in Philly, and it shouldn't fly in Dallas.

I know this sounds ridiculous, especially since we are fans. Not to mention I seldom give credence to anything SAS says. However, he said something that made me think that was actually partly right. He stated that we are partly at fault for this season for putting up with this. And you know what? He's partly right. This season is partly on us fans (including me). But not in the way you might think. Let me explain.

What division do we play in? The NFC East, right? Do we not share a division with Philly and the Giants? Does anyone here think that the way the Joneses have run the team the last 29 years would be acceptable in Philadelphia or New York? Of course not! The teams know full well in Philly and New York that they had better perform, or the fans will make their experience hard. Does anyone here think that if Jerry owned either of them that the fans would be as passive as we have been with him and his family? Does anyone think they would accept the unacceptable effort from him this offseason? Does anyone think they would accept the gaslighting from him? If he owned the Giants, what do you think New York media would do to him? What do you think New York Fans would do to him? He wouldn't be allowed to just sit on his laurels. He wouldn't be allowed to just sit back and collect the money he does.

Maybe it's time we let certain aspects of our division rivals rub off on us. There is one Jerry Jones. There are millions of us. The former players like Irvin and Spears have been getting louder about the unacceptable play of late. Maybe it's time we show passion too. Maybe it's time we have an honest look at our team and understand we are at least 3 years (with a proper rebuild) away from even being close to competitive. Maybe it's time we become more passionate at Jerry about our displeasure. I'm not talking about not going to games and such. I'm talking about, if we go to games, maybe start treating the players, coaches, and ownership the way our division rivals treat their players, owners, etc. Maybe it's up to us, at this point, to demand more. Maybe it's up to us to show our passion to the Cowboys and say that this season is unacceptable. Maybe it's time we tell them and show them that they better not have this level of inactivity again. Jerry may have billions of dollars, but all that money in the world can't silence our fanbase. He may be taking the history of the team and dragging us to levels we don't want, but he should not take our passion away.

I've been criticised at times for being angry and not letting my anger consume me. I'm telling you all that my frustration and all that is BECAUSE I have passion for this team. Rather than just saying, "Woe is us" and such, maybe it's time we rekindle our passion in a different way.

Maybe it's time we all unite together to become a joined fan base demanding better. Demanding more from Jerry. Demanding championships. Maybe it's time we learn how to show the passion for our team that our division rivals have. Maybe, instead of saying we're going all the way, we demand better. Maybe we show our displeasure when Jerry is running the show in an unacceptable way.

I love the Cowboys. I always have, and I always will. I dream of the day that I can see us win a SB and not have been in preschool for it. I dream of the day that I see the Cowboys win one finally. I think we all do. It angers me so much to see us like this when I think we knew where the weaknesses were. Yet, it was allowed to fester.

As for Jerry, before, he could do what he wanted because we would just accept it and turn our passion elsewhere. Maybe it's time we understand something. Maybe it's time we understand this fact. Jerry runs the team and has billions of dollars. But, there are millions of us around the world. Without us, his team can't function. He might enjoy money, but, if we started imitating our division rivals at times and really turned our passion the way they do. If we really start showing that we are a passionate fanbase that demands better, who knows? Maybe he starts to realise that he has to change the way he operates.

To do this, instead of our infighting among us fans, let's be united. Let's come together as a fan base, and let's make it clear that what we are seeing being done to our beloved Cowboys is unacceptable. Make it clear we will not tolerate this anymore. We demand championships. We demand excellence. We demand effort. We demand that Jerry builds a team that can compete, and we will not let up on him in the media, in our conversations, and at the stadiums, until he gets teams that can compete. What's he going to do? Ban us from the stadium because we as fans are making life too uncomfortable for him? We have more power as fans than we think.
..I agree, Rusty. How about giving me some advice on Dak Jersey? Dark Blue or white? ...;)..
