This looked exactly like 2012 when the team quit on Wade during the GB game.

There was a run by Montgomery I watched and no one tackled or even attempted to tackle. Donovan Wilson was the only guy I saw that kept playing yesterday.

It’s time to fire the coach. It was time after the GB game last year but here we are.
:hammer: Who didn't see this coming????

Honestly....the minute Zimmer was hired....and McCarthy wasn't extended....this was a recipe for disaster.

Hate seeing it but the implosion is relevant, it disgusts me as a life long loyal fan.

I jsut think playing for the cowboys gets tiring. You stop appreciating the little things bc the talk is always centered around the big things

Does anyone on the team play like they’re having fun?

How can they have fun knowing that the FO doesn't care? How can they put their bodies on the line for a team where there's not much hope? The FO won't bring in more talent. The message is probably stale. So, just collect a paycheck, and then sign with Kansas City when their deals are up is probably their mindset at this point.

And it disgusts me, but it's entirely Jerry's fault. His lack of effort (and I'm trying to be calm about this, but I'm a very angry horse ATM) all offseason brought this on. There was no plan. We could all see the disaster coming, but it's somehow worse than I expected. At this point, I'm not really sure how it gets fixed. I just get the sense that Green Bay game might be the last playoff game Jerry is alive to see.

I don't know that they quit. They were soft when the game started. It looked to me like they are just not very good. With Zack Martin showing distinct signs of aging the offensive line is pathetic.

What we are seeing is the result of the offseason plan Jerry executed. He allowed too much of their roster to leave at once and as usual he did not replace the guys who left with guys of equal or better talent. Watching Washington I see Armstrong and Fowler making plays, not all the time but more than you see plays made from whoever Dallas puts on the field.

We expected Diggs to come back and play well like he was before the injury. So they let Gilmore go and he is making plays in Minnesota while Diggs and whoever plays on the opposite side of him are giving up big plays and making no defensive plays. I can't recall the last time a Cowboys DB had a pass defense. All I see is WRs running wide open in the Cowboys secondary.

Tyron Smith is not the same player he was 5 years ago, but he is still better than Guyton, and frankly, Tyler Smith wasn't exactly a wall yesterday either. Dak got hit hard a lot yesterday and was pressured more than any QB should be. Too many weak links in the OL now.

Clearly Jerry had a plan to let all those players go. He had to know the talent drain would result in a worse team. If his plan was to clear CAP room to sign Dak, CeeDee, and Micah then he really made a huge mistake because those 3 guys are not good enough to carry this team. Dak actually looks worse than any time in his career. CeeDee is seeing a lot of extra coverage because he is the only threat and Ferguson got smothered by a LB yesterday.

The problem in Dallas is not 1 guy, unless that one guy is Jerry. The problem in Dallas is the roster is filled with a lot of mediocre players.

You know what message firing the coach sends?

That he was the problem, not you players. You don't play hard, he pays the price for it.

It's exactly the wrong message to send.
Kind of, but coaching is a part of the problem.

They won't say it out loud, but I think most of the players on the roster agree with many of us fans about the way Jerry Jones has handled this season.

That was 2010, not 2012 but I don’t disagree with your point. In 2010, Jerry made a stupid decision about Phillips. He decided after a terrible 34-3 playoff loss to Minn that he would bring Phillips back on the last year of his contract. Not surprisingly after a 1-7 start, the players quit on Wade, JJ finally fired him and made the fateful decision to hire Garrett.

After that terrible loss to GB last January, Jerry should have fired Big Mac for the same reasons. Having a HC on the last year of his deal coupled with mostly not giving him any talent to replace what they lost at key positions, it was entirely predictable that this would happen.

Jerry already said he's not firing McCarthy. so he better figure out something to salvage the season. I'm sure he's on it. Lol
Jerry said the said thing back in 2010 about Wade and fired him a week later. Don't trust what Jerry says. Ever.
