The Cowboys could make some serious headway this off season if they want to.

They can create a ton of salary cap room - but will they?

Sign some FA's and get back some healthy players and the roster improves quite a bit.
We can create CAP space, but so can everyone else and as in the case with Henry to Baltimore, these other teams are more attractive to the fa wanting success.....there's also the issue that it's not just quality we need, it's quantity.
You cant build a team in FA, you supplement the final pieces or needs, our problem is we are far off being a deep play-off team with the talent we have in 2025.

Lol nobody cared that Dallas went 4-1 in December last season and lost in the first round. They were judged by the overall season
You know that’s not true this fan base for the last 3 years have cared about how we fair in January or December over the overall season. So you good with us winning 12 games and losing in the first round?

Exactly. We are a flawed team but I don’t want to hear this whole process and two or more seasons crap. There’s no 90s Cowboys team out there. This league isn’t as difficult as these 90s era teams.
With the right offseason moves and some luck they could very easily be back in the 12-5 region next season..,

For the O line we have to work on Guyton to improve; and try Bass at RG and RIchards at RT
we can afford a year to see if the young guys can get it done
Obviously we need a real RB and Rico is not it
A decent WR in FA would fix that
TE is suddenly weaker looking as Ferguson has regressed. And that concussion has to be worrying. Schoon is not it.

ON defense, what can you say. They were running Barkley to get to 2000 and the entire UNIVERSE knew it.
and we could not stop him. That says it all; and for those MORONS that claimed we had gotten better there, hopefully that shuts them up.
WE must have a REAL NT. Another DE that can stop the run as Lawrence is gone
We must have at least ONE LB and frankly I think TWO as we do not know how much Kendrics has left and Vigil is a backup; add to that Overshown probably is not coming back at full strength IF HE EVER DOES until 2026

At DB we must have another quality CB and we need improvement at safety.

WE need to UPGRADE EIGHT out of 22 positions SIGNIFICANTLY.

Even with the injuries, its not hard to see how far this team is away from being a contender.

Aside from questionable coaching, we have deficiencies all over the roster. We need:

QB
2 WRs
LT
NT
TE
S
RB
LB

Its going to take at least 2 more seasons to rebuild this roster smh
Not many said we were, but thanks for heads up.

It certainly appears that way from today's game but I don't think it is quite that bad.

The injuries hurt. Take today's game. The Eagles picked on Booth all day and he was never up to the task. He was playing for Diggs. Diggs would not have allowed all those plays to succeed I am pretty sure.

I think Sam Williams would be better at DE than anyone Dallas played there. And of course Lawrence would help a lot too. I even think having Overshown would have helped with stopping Barkley. All those injuries hurt the defense a lot. Of course on offense, we did not have CeeDee Lamb or Dak.

Where the Cowboys need to add talent is on the defensive line, inside, and at RB. The offensive line is young and should get better next year just by developing the players they have. I wouldn't be against drafting OL, but they have to fix the interior DL, the edges and get a real RB. Rico got a 100 yards but so what? He leaves a lot of meat on the bone and no one is afraid of him.

With a bit of a commitment from Jerry Jones this team could be ready to beat the Eagles next year.
Diggs is an awful cover corner, and even when healthy he was leading the league in allowing yards per catch. Now with him having several major injuries, I wouldn't trust his ability to cover anyone, much less Smith and Brown. He's an absolute liability going forward.

What? People here definitely judged the success of their season last year based on the Green Bay loss alone.
Lol wrote it wrong . I meant nobody cared that Dallas went 4-1 in December last season , since they lost in 1st round

If Dak was entering free agency, Dallas would have a lot more freedom. Dak is set to count 90 million against the cap next season…..and even moving half the salary over to signing bonus leaves us pretty dry.

I’d imagine Dallas will attempt to sign their own guys but probably won’t be able to afford guys like Osa and Rico if they get good offers.
