This is just Dak. This is what he is. Now deep into his 3rd year, it is likely what he will be, with some variation +/-.

Dak is not a QB who is going to lead an offense to the endzone every game. That was a statistical anomaly. A total outlier when you look at the body of his work.

So no, this was not a bad game from Dak. It was just a regression to his mean coming off a big week last week.

fixed it

.........lets keep lowering that bar for the guy.

Andrew Luck was never pressured or touched, not even when he scrambled. Luck even passed for less than 200 yards, something Dak did. But it's easier just to say Dak sucks.

Clue: game was won/lost in the trenches.

Dak is not a QB who is going to throw for 400+ every week. That was a statistical anomaly. A total outlier when you look at the body of his work.

Plain and simple: Dak blows.

Anyone of you guys who think this guy is the answer or something other than a career backup, you need to get your heads checked. If yesterday was not proof of that, i don't know what to say. Combine that with a terrible coach, an antiquated game plan by our terrible OC, a wildly erratic ownership and an off day by the defense, and you get what you got yesterday.

they couldn't get the ball into the end zone when they needed to and they couldn't stop the opposing offense when they needed to.

the loss is on the team, but a LOT of the shutout is on Dak. I'll give you that penalties hurt us as well, but most of the time it seemed as if he had time in the pocket, or if he would use better awareness he could have moved inside it to make a bit more if he were inclined to do so.

Bad game on most fronts. Dak was just Dak though. Not great, not overly terrible. Just didn't have the defense and Zeke to keep it close today.

Although Zeke still did more than anyone else on the offense.

Andrew Suck missed some very easy throws which should have gone for TDs today but he threw the ball poorly. His defense and Mack carried him. Indy should have win this game by at least 40 points.

The Colts were in Daks face all game long. Our interior line got whipped play after play. Dak wasn't moved around or was called quick opening routes. He was hurt more than helped by the coaching staff but everyone keep on the it's all Daks fault narrative . I'll keep laughing at your lack of football IQ.

Clowns and trolls.

We are in the same boat. We will only go as far as Zeke and our defense can carry us.

If nobody gets open downfield your only option is the checkdown over and over again.i believe that's not only on dak but most of all Scott L

Our coaches are poor. But they are made much worse by Daks OBVIOUS limitations. He really limits what the coaches can do in the passing game.

They have a better QB too. Was very impressed with Mack and how he was able to finish drives. Hell of a value in the 4th round.
Mack is very underrated as a runner. His problem has been staying on the field.

Romo isn’t here. We’re talking about Dal now because he is the QB. If Romo comes back we can talk about how he’s playing.
Nate, some how Romo shows up when Dak has a bad game, basically guy hasn't played in 4 seasons yet you would think he was still playing. Some just don't get it, like you said Daks the QB no one else.

Being shut out by a middle-of-the-road defense isn't bad ?
Indy's defense is not middle of the road. They had issues at beginning but they are young defense growing together. Throw in that their DC knew what the Dallas DC was going to do, and then give that information to their HC that knows how to design plays 23-0 is what you get. This is one of those games where the defense was a step slow and it needed the offense to bail them out. Over this 5 game winning streak the defense shouldered most of that keeping games close until the offense got off the team charter.

As I noted in game thread, a game like this puts Dak’s limitations on blast.

Down a couple of scores we still have to grind out drives to try to score. He’s simply not the type of QB that can attack down the field and get chunks of yards and score quickly.
Spot on.
