This is just Dak. This is what he is. Now deep into his 3rd year, it is likely what he will be, with some variation +/-.

Dak is not a QB who is going to throw for 400+ every week. That was a statistical anomaly. A total outlier when you look at the body of his work.

So no, this was not a bad game from Dak. It was just a regression to his mean coming off a big week last week.
This was a very defining moment in the consideration of what your getting if you pay Dak! Your getting a QB whos idea of a hurry up offense is nothing but screen plays.

There was nada defining about this game and especially for him. Wait till the playoffs to talk about moments like that

I can think of one down the sidelines that he threw to the outside shoulder instead of the inside that would have been six and another where there was clearly PI but not called

The officiating was really inconsistent in this game. On most of the deep routes there would be tons of contact with no call, but anything with contact over the middle was called tightly.

On the deflection INT by Woods, they called Heath for contact but it was basically the same play they called Ertz for Offensive PI on last game.

Then when the Colts were driving early in the second with a chance to turn the game into a blowout, there were two bad calls stopping them. One was Unsportsmanlike Conduct on Hilton for making that Satanic MS-13 Hanky wrist motion. Something a player does on half the plays of every game. Those calls benefited Dallas by keeping it close but it goes to something I've seen for a long time, if the game is going to break open (which means viewers tune out and ad revenue to the NFL goes down) flags magically happen to keep the game close. Its a league-wide thing and its been going on for years.

Not a bad game "for Dak", but certainly a bad QB performance. 64.7 QB Rate, and zero points tell part of the story- but the eyeball test says a lot too.

Dak is certainly capable of delivering a good game at times, but I just cannot believe he is good enough to go all the way. He just isn't.

(and yes- the defense was horrible today too)

The rest of the team played poorly compared to what we are used to. Times like that, when the defense isn't dominating and keeping it close, you need an offense that can score. The defense had a down game and Dak wasn't able to raise his game above his par.

Nor was Zeke. Couldn’t convert in the red zone fumbling the ball. Very bad day to have him in fantasy scoring league only. Thanks, Zeke.

Stop the madness, I mean really just STOP. Dak is not the future QB for this team. Too many aspects of his game is missing to be truly affective. We can watch, we know what we see. Enough excuses. Really ENOUGH
