Atlanta is gonna blow us out. They are great at all three phases of the game. Their home crowd is LOUD. They are playing lights out. 3-5 and thats a wrap. Jerry and Stephen are gonna finally see that major change needs to be done. Its a business and Jerry is good with business. Another prime time game for Romo to crumble in,Garrett to be outcoached,WRs to run wrong routes, sacks, and penalties a comin.

Nothing personal, but I think I'll be the first to remind you of this thread Sunday night in the game thread. Till then I'll keep bumping it.

The stage is set for a real butt whippin'.

However, this is also the type of game that comes around for all teams when they are down and out. The impossible accomplishment that becomes reality.

I would not be surprised if the outcome were Atlanta 38 and Dallas 17.

But for some reason I also could understand Dallas 23 and Atlanta 21.

Lol if it were up to you they wouldn't waste airfare to atlanta

I think the OP underestimates what it take to humiliate Jerruh

It must be really hard to be you. All this agony and negativity over something that you have absolutely no control over.

I hate losing as much as anyone and more than most, but the thing is I still hope for the best. This team is capable of winning. Whether they do or not is another thing. I continue to hope.

I just can't help thinking that this constant hating and doom saying is just a mainfestation of the victim mentality. That is not you particulary Juck, but in general.

Has Atlanta beaten a team with a winning record? Not that we have one, but Atlanta hasn't beaten anyone notable to warrant a prediction that they will blow us out. What bad team have they blown out lately?

Agreed. I can never understand these pre-Sunday threads that declare we're going to get blown out by whoever the next opponent is. If we lose, we lose. It's out of our control. But like you said, "This team is capable of winning". There's no reason to declare we're going to get blown out as if we have no chance whatsoever. I would not be surprised at all if we won this game. The Falcons are a beatable team.

It's just a little emoitional insulation. AKA, the coward's approach.

I doubt it. Since we're the underdogs and have a lot of injuries to use as excuses, Jerry will be thrilled with the outcome vs. Atlanta regardless of what happens. Even if we lose by 30

It will take a loss like the one they had to Jacksonville at home in 2010 to get him upset and stir the pot like he says. It will take a string of losing seasons to truly get him "over the edge."

Define: Jerry over the edge.

In other words, what are you suggesting is going to happen, should the Cowboys get beat as you described?

Are you saying he's going to blow up the team? Blow up the coaching staff? Blow up the stadium? Or will he literally go over the edge out of his suite window and crowd surf?

The Cowboys will be toe to toe with the Falcons the whole game until we score late in the 4th.. Cause thats how this team rolls.

Atlanta hasn't played as dominant as the record says. Almost blew a 24 point lead to The Broncos, barely beat Washington. Needed last minute drives to beat Oakland and Carolina at home. They are a good solid team but by no means are they Juggernauts that will role over us. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't seen them play. They do just enough to win, which is admirable but They aren't blowing us out. No chance

Half of their games the game was over by halftime. Stop kidding yourself.

They beat the Broncos early on. But at that point Manning was clearly not yet himself. Plenty of talk about it at the time. Since then he's really hit his stride and the Broncos right now would kill the Broncos of week 2.

They crushed the Charger's in SD. Now I know the Chargers have sucked this year, but a 24 point road win against anyone is impressive.

And of course they just sounded whipped up on the Eagles in Philly. Scored on their first 6 possesions I think. Are the eagle's any good? Not really, but like us, they have talent and are capable of beating the best as evidenced with wins over the Ravens and Giants.

Oddly enough, the Falcons have played their best football on the road. They won a close one against the Broncos at home who like I said were not playing well at the time. And they also won two tight ones against the Raiders and Panthers. Games they were perhaps outplayed yet managed to win.

The Raiders outgained them by nearly 200 yards, 100 more rushing.

I watch the Panthers game. It was a statistical and score board dead heat. It really came down to a successful depseration throw by Ryan into double coverage from his own goal line to pull it out. Not even a great play by Jones, but just a terrible effort by the Panthers safety.

A few things I believe we have going for us in this game.

1) I honestly believe we're a pretty good team. We're certainly capable of playing poor (well documented). And we have made it easy for the opponent at times. But we haven't lacked for means to win any game we've played.

2) Atlanta may be in for a little on field talent shock. We're just a heck of a lot more talented than anyone they've played. At QB and especially on defense. I see them having more trouble moving the ball, scoring and protecting Ryan, than they've had all year.
I'll go so far as to predict a season low point total for them.

3) There's nothing special about their defense. And the only thing I'd say about it that's good, is their pass rush. They can get after the QB. But they're a little old and small up front and really srtuggle stopping the run.

Fantastic post. But a just a few points I disagree with.

The Bears did completely dominate the Cowboys this year.

We can't say we are better than the Eagles until we beat them. Despite their lackluster year, they dominated us in both meetings last year.

The fact that the Falcons defense can get after the QB is the one aspect of their game that may lead to another situations where the Cowboys get dominated. I'm not saying that is going to happen; the Cowboys OL has showed marked improvement from week 3, but still...

Jerry doesn't care. Sure he wants to win but as long as he' making money, he will keep the status quo
