OMT about this game from a pure matchup standpoint that gives me a real good feeling. They are the Giants. Top to bottom, they are a mirror image.

Real good, somewhat immobile QB. Excellent receivers, good strong RB with little break away speed. Average OL that pass blocks better than it run blocks.

Defensively they have ok DBs and LBs and an excellent pass rushing DL that doesn't play the run that well.

Who here doesn't feel good about how we matched up with and played the Giants this year? Who wouldn't love another crack at them in the playoffs?Even in NY?

I think we're getting that shot Sunday night. Only the Falcons aren't as good as the Giants.

Atlanta is gonna blow us out. They are great at all three phases of the game. Their home crowd is LOUD. They are playing lights out. 3-5 and thats a wrap. Jerry and Stephen are gonna finally see that major change needs to be done. Its a business and Jerry is good with business. Another prime time game for Romo to crumble in,Garrett to be outcoached,WRs to run wrong routes,sacks, and penalties a comin.

Fantastic post. But a just a few points I disagree with.

The Bears did completely dominate the Cowboys this year.

We can't say we are better than the Eagles until we beat them. Despite their lackluster year, they dominated us in both meetings last year.

The fact that the Falcons defense can get after the QB is the one aspect of their game that may lead to another situations where the Cowboys get dominated. I'm not saying that is going to happen; the Cowboys OL has showed marked improvement from week 3, but still...

Can't argue with the scoreboard. I just feel that we gave that one away more than any. Just a comedy of mostly unforced errors.

I don't know what to say or think of the eagles right now. I do know they are every bit as talented as us. They're also every bit as unpredictable and perhaps snake but as we've been.

no way, that's delusional thinking. jerry is gonna run this team into the ground before he, himself in the ground. the way of al davis, only jerry is going senile far before al did, and al was head and heals above jerry in the GM department.

and also, you people on here give WAY TOO MUCH blame to romo. he ain't a winner, but he sure as hell ain't the biggest problem.

Well I can see your comparison here, actually makes sense although I do believe the Giants have a much better pass rush, while the Falcons have much better WRs.

That does play into our hands cause the best part of our team all year has been our CBs shutting down WRs, as we have only had one 100 yard WR against us all season (Marshall) and in that game they made sure to match Marshall up against our safeties.

Which brings me to a point of wondering why more teams haven't used that tape of what Marshall did against us, cause it was rather obvious that it worked.

The biggest thing that I see on this board is a massive underestimation of how well both Carr and Mo are playing, and that will help us Sunday night.

I still think we win this one, but if we were to lose, what is the best scenario?

1. play a hard fought game with minimal mistakes but lose from 3-10 points? Therefore keeping the status quo and all is good at Valley Ranch.

or..

2. get completely blown out and lose in all three phases resulting in changes being made to the team. Preferably an early exit for Garrett.

I do not ever want to be blown out or embarrassed, but that might be the only way for Jerry to stir things up at this point. I don't want Romo gone, but something drastic has to happen for Jerry to get a GM, release Jason, or make changes in the receiving core.

I would rather end up at 5-11 than 8-8 because they will still think we will be ok for the next season, then the next, etc. This teams needs to win now or something has to change, no more mediocrity.

There is a difference believing in your team, or having first hand knowledge after witnessing them play that they may not be good enough.

I am always amazed at the people here that assign words to others as if you have insight into how other fans take seasons like this.

By the way, I met my new neighbor. It was the Giants game and I was screaming so loud his wife sent him over because she feared something dastardly was taking place.

However, this is also the type of game that comes around for all teams when they are down and out. The impossible accomplishment that becomes reality.

I would not be surprised if the outcome were Atlanta 38 and Dallas 17.

But for some reason I also could understand Dallas 23 and Atlanta 21.

The Falcons are going to lose soon and we're desperate. So it's easily possible.

I'm not getting the vibe the Cowboys are going to get blown out of the building at all.
