Agreed. I can never understand these pre-Sunday threads that declare we're going to get blown out by whoever the next opponent is. If we lose, we lose. It's out of our control. But like you said, "This team is capable of winning". There's no reason to declare we're going to get blown out as if we have no chance whatsoever. I would not be surprised at all if we won this game. The Falcons are a beatable team.

Thankfully I've grown up and don't have a problem with anyone's prediction of a win or loss. Even in a rout.

I really don't think this game will be a debacle. I think we're more likely to get beat down the following week in Philly.

This is kind of like that "believe" game against the Saints, where we went on a 4-1 (?) tear and made the playoffs, and then won in the playoffs before falling to Minnesota.

Except that our fans (at least around here) have decided that they actually don't want this team to win on a weekly basis, seemingly. Or that they actually just don't like silver and blue, or something. Who knows.

Cas, I really think you have crossed the line as of late by questioning poster's fandom. Sometimes you have even called them dumb. I know this board may not be as positive as some you post on, but these are just as dedicated fans as any and they don't deserve to have their fandom questioned by you or anyone else for disagreeing with you. Everybody is not happy with the direction this team is going, but that doesn't mean that they are pulling for the Cowboys to lose.

Ok, first off the thread starter didn't predict anything, he declared we'd lose, and get blown out, as if we have no chance. According to that guy there's no point in even watching the game. We're going to get dominated in all 3 phases and an L is guaranteed.

And what idiots keep predicting we win? There's NOBODY making threads that are the antithesis of this one. Show me one person that's starting threads that are the exact opposite of this. Nobody is saying we're going to blow our opponents out hands down, but there are "fans" on here claiming we will get blown out. On a regular basis.

Well I can see your relatively new to this board, but it wasn't always like this. Now its 'cool' to dog the team here and just have a general negative attitude towards the team, makes you a 'real' poster, whatever that means.

There are people here who would post the threads you are speaking of, but because they get attacked so much, whats the use at this point. Can't say I've been the most positive poster over the years cause I haven't been, but there is a huge difference now with the slant of the posts even after a win the team still gets grilled.

The disappointments of the last decade and more have really caused this, and no matter how much it is talked about here, it is really up to this team to win in order to change the mentality around here.

Well, if all that person talks about is the negative, ie bad oline, poor play on special teams, and such, then the label is hard to get away from. There are people who post here regularly, and if you look at their post history, there isn't a single positive comment about the team.

As I said, its up to this team to fix this mentality by winning, so there is no reason to fault posters only. Its good to be hard on the team when its merited, but by the same token every problem with the team doesn't trace back to someone's agenda.

I've said this before, but it seems as though some would rather be right about their agenda than see the team win. Some, even in the face of all data going against them, will still stick to their guns. No, 8-8 isn't good enough, but ignoring anything positive that the team is doing can become tiring, cause while some don't think your 'real' if your not hard on the team others don't even listen to you at all when you can't have a single positive thing to say about the team.

In the end, its up to the team to prove people wrong, and that can start tonight cause unlike the thoughts of alot of posts around here, the season isn't over.

We'll see if Ivy Red has finally did some adapting his "scheme" to his personel package available. Past history shows it usually takes him bout' 4 games to adapt what teams are throwing at us......

This game's our last real chance to save the season in my eyes. If we can come out of tonight 4-4 the schedule turns in our favor a bit. The Eagles, Browns, and Commanders are beatable. Vick's been a Cowboys killer in the past, but this is the worst I've ever seen him struggle as well. RG3 is legit, but the Commanders are already 3-5 for a reason. Their playoff hopes are essentially done if we find a way to beat them twice.
