Yes, not a must win game, especially if Rush starts again.Agree, don’t think we’ll really know how either of us are until around Thanksgiving.
Win or lose it’s not going to really sway much for me bc our starting QB is on the sidelines…too early. We’ll both still be in good shape to make the playoffs regardless.
A few more difficult matchups on paper, but you never know. We thought Denver was going to be an easy win.Remember as MM put it .......10 wins, then you can think playoffs.

I have the same feeling as well as the Eagle Defense hearing how great the Cowboys are, they want to make a statement they are as good if not better.@Cowboyny
I like the matchup of our defense vs their offense.
Our corners can play with their WR, and I especially like being deep at safety, considering we likely need one of them to spy, as well as mitigate the big play to the TE, which they love to do.
Quinns big nickel should work well.
Im worried about this being the game where we just can’t do much on offense.
It’ll probably come down to if we can play with a lead or not, because the day we fall behind by multiple scores with Rush, people will learn quickly why Dak is by far the better option.
He’s not elite, but playing that way at the moment. You are correct. He has 6 rushing TDs. 68% completion percentage. 97 rating. He's improved. But is he elite, upper level? Not ready to crown him that just yet after his hot start.
-We still don't know who is starting at QB, however, it seems Rush is most likely.
-Eagles offense presents many challenges. RPO with a legitimate dual threat QB, talented skill positional players and perhaps the best OL's in football. What strategy should the Cowboys use to defend them?
-Minnesota got lit up playing soft deep shell coverage, the Cowboys need to do the complete opposite, stack the box, play tight man coverage and force Hurts to beat them with his arm not his legs. Must stay disciplined with their rush lanes. Take away their run game and force them to drive the entire field. I would use Wilson as a spy and Kearse matching up with their TE. Watkins could be dangerous as that over the top type of receiver.
-Eagles still have a loaded defensive line, but they are an aging one. Their linebackers are average and have one top corner in Slay. Successfully running the football will be paramount as it won't allow their rushers to just pin their ears back. There should be opportunities in the passing game if they can hold up in protection.

-We have had success against Slay in the past, but that was with our starting QB.- Eagles CB Darius Slay will be blanketing Lamb, ... so Gallup and Noah is gonna have to show big. Just not expecting much from TEs in pass game
- Zeke has had big days vs Philly in the past, can he and Pollard do so Sunday ?
- We have to keep game closely tight and competitive, if Philly gets out to a big score lead early or at any point of the game to force Rush into a must pass frenzy mode, then
it’s negative loss plays and it’s sack time for Cooper Rush. - It plays right into Eagles hands.
- We don’t have the established TEs in pass game to hurt Eagles LBs,
Nor do we design-scheme our RBs to hurt Eagles too.
-I expect the usual nickel defense vs Hurts/Eagles. 3 safeties with Wilson/Kearse a lot around the line.
- Keep an eye on Parson’s status with groin injury. Don’t be surprised if he’s just 3rd down rush specialist.
-That is the key, force Hurts to be a pocket passer and see if he can consistently make the throws in tight coverage. It would be crazy- foolish to think the team would rush and force Dak back into starting lineup just for the sake of the Eagles.
“ light” throwing isn’t strong enuff indication that he's ready for full contact live action.
The formula is the same as it’s been in any Cooper Rush game (and win streak)
We have to win:
1 ) Running the ball successfully
2) Avoiding turnovers
3) Playing great Defense
4) Getting great special teams edge and help (FGs, Turpin, coverage, Anger)
5) Gain key plays in Cooper pass game en route to scoring points
- Trench Wars and turnover battle may decide winner and loser
- Force Eagles to be one dimensional, force Hurts to be a pocket passer.
- I would’ve loved to get a big lead upon Philly, make them dimensional/must pass, so Hurts can be erratic passer.
No negative waves Moriarity. Their D is only good because the fans help by throwing D cell batteries and frozen cans of coke at the visiting team on the bench. Filthy Dirty Birds SUX. They will LOSE.I think one thing that is being overlooked is the Eagles have a very good defense, perhaps on the level of the Cowboys.
I'm pumped too. The alcohol will definitely be flowing!!!! Guessing either Sierra Nevada Torpedos or most likely Dancing Sands New Zealand Dry Gin Perfect Martinis. I'll have never-ending homemade pizza for snacks. Nervous energy one hand for eating the other busy drinking. Biggest game of the season and I happen to think Rush can and will do whatever he's called upon to do to put us in a position to win the game. The dropped passes or the missed winning FG won't be on him.I haven't been this on edge or pumped up, or on edge for a regular season game since the last week in the 1993 season. Before that you have to go back to 1983 against the Skins. Hell, Same goes for most playoff games save for a few.
It's probably how Bills and Chiefs fans feel when those two teams meet. These types of games don't happen often.
My only concern on defense is LVE on run plays. I think he is the second leading tackler, but his tackles come after long gains. He needs to close in on the gaps and stuff the run game.-We still don't know who is starting at QB, however, it seems Rush is most likely.

Wilson and Parson hopefully take turns shadowing him, chasing him down behind the line and knocking him around enough times he will think twice or three times before trying to run. Plus we have a new puppy at LB that seems to get it. Diggs will continue to get his pick opportunities, but the entire secondary needs to play their assignments and not allow big breakdowns in the passing game. Combined with the D-line rotation, keeping bodies fresh and fired up, we only need 24 points to win. Maybe less.-We still don't know who is starting at QB, however, it seems Rush is most likely.
