i just drove over a huge pot hole on highway 710 near long beach which is about 40 miles south of LA. it destroyed my tire.

yea, the huge puddle is a real issue and it really does not make sense for an autonomous car to have no manual controls. impossible to predict all possible scenarios in the 1st 2 generations of tech.

You can file a claim with the city the damage occurred in, but they are generally denied at a rate higher than 90%.

So would the tech you're working on be able to detect a spike strip? Asking for a friend.

lol, depends on distance.
at a useful distance for avoidance at highway speeds, almost definitely not.
but we are talking to tractor companies about measuring the size of soybeans seeds because cameras and lasers dont work well in the harvesting dusty environment.

does it change lanes? the tesla that crashed into the barrier may have got confused by the lane markers
No,it doesn’t change lanes. It uses radar to determine speed, distance, cars around you ect. So you can kick it in heavy traffic and not be constantly braking with your foot. The best part? They now have what I’ve been asking for. Vented climate controlled seating....so no more sweaty backs!!! “Hooray!!! Hooray for Dixie!!!”

so it is an adaptive cruise control.
but it does follow the lane?
i think it got confused with lane markers with one accident in the bay area?

when did you buy it?
i am trying to find out more about tesla cars and what they are exactly offering?

My question is if everything done by robots what will people be doing in the future?
Doing what we’re doing now,but getting paid for it? Who cares anyways...all I want is my holographic “Joi” passenger next to me when I’m driving.

Mazda. I don’t know much about Tesla...I don’t like those cars. I like hip, stylish, small, and nifty quick to get around this mine field I navigate. Honestly...you guys should go on Tesla’s website, and I’m sure you’d learn all kinds of things. Tons of people have them here...like every other car it seems is a Tesla around me. But yeah,it follows the lane.

if they do it right, it could make the roads a lot safer.
drunk drivers dont need to drive
disabled and those who are too elderly would have more access to transportation without paying for uber and taxi on a daily basis.
especially true for aging population...
commuters can relax
farms have labor shortage

the market fundamentals are good.
Hey. I love the elderly. Although old, and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose.
