Actually, the person you quoted is the first to call people in the thread who disagreed with the OP, smacktards..

Yes but i did not call anyone specifically that. Big difference....that's a broad statement where as specifically responding to someone's post and calling them idiotic, that's a personal attack....

Bummer. I thought I made a good point.
Well because its you I will respond once more.

I think with most of those teams you will see a dominant defense and/or running game that could bail the QB out in most cases, granted I could not tell you if that was the case with Williams, McMAhon, or Plunkett, but I believe that was key in Getting, Ben, Elli, Simms, and Griese to their wins.

So, I think you put Romo on those team and he gets the Superbowls, if you put them on our team they don't have the Superbowls. Hopefully our D will be better and I know if we stay healthy our running game will be and maybe that will be enough depending on the D. I do think if you put Aikman, Montana, Brady, Staubach, and others at that level on this team then we get to the Superbowl. I grew up watching Aikman, I am forever spoiled and maybe thats a big part of it. IDK, you do have a good point though in that it is entirely possible for a QB at or below Romo's level to win a Superbowl, I just don't see it happening with this team. I guess I might have well as said will never win a Superbowl with this defense...IDK, I always have the hope that Romo will put it together and learn not to make mistakes and reach that level (that he is so close to) where he could take this team with its flaws to the SB. I digress and grow tired of trying to explain in typing, too much time on the forum i guess...Good point though Hos.

It wasn't an attack on a person, but I imagine anyone who read your post and also disagreed with the OP, probably felt insulted.

IMO, that's just as bad as labeling anyone with a specific position on a topic, a homer or a whiner.

In Troy Aikmans first 3 years as starter for the Cowboys he had 46 interceptions in 38 games.

In Tony Romo's first 3 years as a starter for the Cowboys he has 46 interceptions in 39 games.

No one can judge a Defense upon one game, the first of the season.

My evidence.

Yeah but I didn't single anyone out...personal attacks should not be tolerated, labeling people idiotic individually is bad but calling a mob idiotic, that's different.

People who bash the original poster of this thread are smacktards

Who would you say were those who were "bashing" the OP? I was disagreeing with the OP and I took offense to your statement. I am a smacktard because I was part of the "mob" that was "bashing" the OP?

Edit: You're not above anybody else with the attacks.

And the same goes for the offense. Dallas started like this last year, let's hope it doesn't end the same.

To be fair, Aikman was on a horrible team the first year and a bad team the second year that simply surprised people, and I don't agree with original poster's premise at all.

I think Romo has what it takes to win at least multiple SBs. Whether he does or not depends upon a lot of different factors outside of himself. In other words, I don't think he'll ever be a detriment outside of the occasional boneheaded play that is almost always compensated by several other brilliant ones. If he can get rid of the former and continues the positive trend, the guy could be a first ballot HOFer easy.

That isn't his point though. I'm merely addressing his point.

No one on this forum is going to look me in the eye and tell me they knew the Giants would win the Super Bowl in 2007 after that game. Not one person in 23,000+ on this forum is going to tell me that.

If someone makes that claim I want to see physical evidence of it. Otherwise it's nothing but an Ace Ventura impersonation, and a bad one at that.

So, I hope I am wrong. I am not a troll, I have no agenda, I don't think I am overly pessimistic on most things (though maybe I am). I have been a Cowboys fan since I was born. I have not missed a Cowboys game in years. I look foward to the game all week, and I always hope for nothing for the best for the team and the players. Shoot, I even have an autographed picture of Tony Romo playing against Carolina his first full game, framed and hanging in my living room. I hope I am wrong, but as of right now, I don't think he has what it will take to take this team to a Superbowl.
All I have to say is, just relax on game day, and enjoy the show.

True. And thats the beauty of the game. Nobody had a clue the Cards would play for the Championship.

LoL! No need to look at you in the eye. I can tell u strait up that the Giants wouldn't win the S.B. in 2007 after any game.

You and me both.

I still think the Patriots lost on purpose hoping Giselle was serious.
