Changes are needed yes. But will they come? No. Not any time soon anyway. Jerry and Stephen don’t see themselves as the problem so no move will be made to correct it.
By his own admission, Jerry isn’t ready to talk about personnel changes right now and not considering a coaching change. Translation: Get used to this Dallas (as if we weren’t already).

I just want to know how it works. I want some hope back that we aren't just destined to this kind of performance for the next 5 years.

Does it happen with McCarthy in 2024 ?
- Are the players playing hard for the coaches ?
Does Jerry expect a 2nd half surge from the HC just like last year 2023 ?
- Sorry, but i'm not yet convince DC Zimmer is the answer for this team. Jury is still out .
- After this season, i'm for pursuing Ben Johnson, Clint Kubiak, Bob Slovick and that implement that Shanahan style offense.
We've tried the retread way no Jon Gruden, Pete Carroll,..and yes No Bill Belichek

Current year, no change in coaching staff this past off season would have made any difference. When you get skull drug in the playoffs & get worse over the offseason & top it off by re-signing a QB no player on the team has any confidence in, this season was destined to go poorly. Anyone with an ounce of sense should have been able to see that.

Trade him to the Steelers. He would have to approve. He still gets his money and the Steelers have a legit D and won't expect him to play hero ball all by himself.

Are they playing for MM? They have been blown out at home all three games after that Green Bay debacle last yr. No, don’t believe Zimmer is the answer, just the placeholder for the year. I too would like a modern oc type, but something has to be done to fix how this team is built and coached on defense.

No they don’t. They were basically telling the fans all offseason if you want us to sign Dak and CD the rest of the team won’t be very good.

I never wanted Dak signed long-term. I'm not an idiot. I see what he does when he gets to the playoffs and how inaccurate he is most of the time. How he can't read the field and buckles under pressure. How he pads his stats when the game is Out Of Reach. How he takes more sacks than he does getting rid of the ball. How he never can sense a sack coming.
Why anybody would want that long-term beats me but there are plenty of them. Those aren't fans of the Cowboys but simply fans of Dak, who's an average Quarterback, at best.

The contract only goes into effect in the 2025 season. There is no opt out after the first year. Philly can opt out of the Hurts deal after the 2025 season, his deal’s 2nd season, with a $100 million dead cap hit, so, in effect, they’re stuck with their QB for years, too. These QB deals are significant commitments. Imagine how the Browns, Jaguars, and perhaps the Dolphins are feeling about their respective QB deals right now.

I would like to see the Niners trade Purdy instead of paying him big money. What could they get for him?
With their OLine, D and offensive weapons they only need a bus driver. They could draft another QB in round 1 and have another rookie QB contract.
