Should We Root For...?

Those threads are personal peeves for me. Players, coaches, officials and sometimes pure luck decide games. Wait. I am wrong. I forgot to add crossing your fingers, squinting your eyes REAL hard, clicking your heels together and reciting 'C'mon so-and-so! You can DO it!!' determines game outcomes.

These threads rarely (if ever) have a title like 'Which Teams' Win (Or Loss) Helps Dallas?' Nope. It is a necessity that everyone should root for another team just like the thread's creator does. There are people in this world sitting on the edges of their seats or couches, biting their fingernails, muttering, "Please win. Please win. Please please pretty please win <insert team name>." and truly think doing so actually makes a bit of difference.

Sweet Jiminy Cricket! That is a load of baloney. And I am being asked to consider eating it too? nah. I'll pass.

I get particularly annoyed with threads that want to talk about what to do 4 months or more from "now", or if such and such happens. It's as if they have to be the first to come up with the thread, just in case.

Marvel Comics or any other comic genre type thread. I've got a deep hatred for comic books or anything comic related. I do the smart thing and simply stay out of those threads, but if somebody starts an Aquaman thread so help me God.
