With 4 preseason games please explain why Elliott should play in the first game while trying to heal from a hamstring injury? That makes tons of sense that way Elliott can be like Miles Austin.

Rookies need to practice and play. He needs to get out there and this team needs to get him back out there. Miles Austin's situation has nothing to do with Elliott, why bring it up?

I can separate jerseys too but I feel Wentz bandwagon fans can't stop drooling over him. I heard the same thing in the senior bowl....his recievers dropped balls...mmmm seems like history with this guy. It's his recievers in the senior bowl, his recievers in Philly.

I don't see anyone "drooling" here, just giving some credit where credit is due, despite the jersey.

Bet if Dak has the same stat line we will hear yall Philly....I mean Wentz fans, complain that we wasted a 4th round pick

Let's cross that bridge when we come to it, OK?

Yeah I mean we shouldn't jump the gun one way or the other but he did not have a good game and the "realists" are talking about how great he looked under duress whatever that means
Preseason only tells some of the story.....that being said I will never cheer for eagles players (or any other team) even if it's my favorite player. You get drafted by the enemy you are now the enemy

Definitions of duress

1
compulsory force or threat

In this case, a pass rush beating his line like a drum and consistantly collapsing the pocket and putting pressure on him.

If you didn't watch the performance, maybe you're not qualified to critique it?

Austin with hamstring issues....maybe you should pay more attention to Cowboys if you can't make the connection.

I'm all for players especially rookies playing in preseason.....but not if they are injuried. No need to make his hamstring worst when he can still get in the last 3 games. Not sure why you can't comprehend this.

So to secretly cheer for Wentz you gonna keep bringing up jerseys to make it seem alright. Giving credit for 12-24 89 yards 1 interception and a fumble, your expectations are low don't you think

Preseason games mean plenty for a rookie in my opinion. I only wish this team felt the same way. I'm seeing a pattern of nobody playing in the preseason and then a team that's rusty starting the season. Other teams aren't afraid to get players work in preseason games, this team shouldn't be either. Injuries happen. That doesn't mean you should keep everyone in mothballs for fear of them.

If you haven't, take a look at the actual game footage. I watched it last night and came away impressed with him. The game doesn't look too big for him, and other than a boneheaded red zone pick, I thought he looked very good while the team around him looked like trash.

I can separate his performance from the jersey he's wearing where it appears that some other fans can't.

Smh you criticize Zeke for not playing in a pre season game when he has a tight hamstring but make excuses and defend the eagles qb for playing like crap? Wow didn't expect that from you

So Austin = Elliott? One player has hamstring issues, they all do? One guys has issues, they all do? Please. There is no "connection" to make. None.

Because they're injured and there's hurt. If he's going to be this team's lead running back he needs to work. And to get as much experience as he can before these games count. There's 16 of them, win, lose or draw. He needs to be ready to contribute. I'm tired of this staff handling players like they're made of glass. Nobody has them sit like this group does. Everything is a 'day to day' precaution. With everything.

Watch the tape. Then we can talk about it. It's obvious you haven't.

Another guy who obviously didn't watch the game he's trying to talk about. I'll 'shake my head' back at you on this one. If you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't talk.

How do you measure playing well under duress be cause at the end of the day he still went 12/24 89 yards and a pick. Yes I watched and no I was not impressed. If that was Prescott you would have already written him off but he gets a pass because ?????

It's preseason. I'm not going to make a judgement one way or the other until we've seen him a year or two as the starter. But he did not play well last night

Looks like you don't know what the hell you're talking about seeing as how I watched the game live

You don't get to protect hypotheticals on me, or on anyone else. This has zero to do with Prescott or any performance that hasn't even occurred yet. But you're so quick to go on the attack that you'll reach for something that hasn't even happened to get miffed about.

Do you not realize the contradiction in your own statement?

Then you obviously don't know what you're looking at. Or your fandom blinds you to anyone else doing anything good on the field.

I just watched his highlights. Looked like most of his passes were high and the reason for the drops. He did move well and could looked OK hitting from around 10 yards, but his accuracy left something to be desired. That said, it's his first action and you can't get to much from it. I still don't like the prospect, though, and thought he was a reach at the 2nd pick with very little resume to go on.

Sounds like it's you who doesn't. Because somehow, Miles Austin's issue are now Elliott's too...

Sure thing. And you keep blinding yourself to anything good a player on another team does because it's not a Cowboys player doing it. I can appreciate football for football's sake and give credit where it's due, outside of uniform. It's obvious not everyone is mature enough to do that.

What did you think of his pass protection, or lack thereof? I thought the Eagles' offensive line was bad all night long.

Hard to tell from the highlight reel, though he did look to have a crowd around him a lot. I didn't get to watch the full game.
