You don't get to protect hypotheticals on me, or on anyone else. This has zero to do with Prescott or any performance that hasn't even occurred yet. But you're so quick to go on the attack that you'll reach for something that hasn't even happened to get miffed about.

Do you not realize the contradiction in your own statement?
:lmao:

Sorry let me rephrase. I have seen non hypothetical real posts from you ragging on players with a better performance than Wentz because realism but you are giving him a pass for ?????

And did you see me call him a bust? No you did not. But he didn't play well last night and we shouldn't be rueing about it.

Sounds like it's you who doesn't. Because somehow, Miles Austin's issue are now Elliott's too...

Sure thing. And you keep blinding yourself to anything good a player on another team does because it's not a Cowboys player doing it. I can appreciate football for football's sake and give credit where it's due, outside of uniform. It's obvious not everyone is mature enough to do that.
Believe whatever you want dude.

I give credit where is due but Wentz didn't deserve any. His accuracy was off, balls thrown high....that interception was terrible, terrible read, terrible throw but continue with your man crush.

Hard to tell from the highlight reel. I didn't get to watch the full game.

If you have the time, take a few minutes to look at the pocket he was throwing from and the hits he was taken. It was 'Aikman the early years' level stuff to me.

Just be clear
They gave up THIS years early 1st too.
So two most likely very early 1st rounders (worth about 4 mid/later 1st rounders) plus an early 3rd and 4th this year and 2nd in 2018.

The gave up a TON

Yes they gave up the 8th pick this year but got the 2nd pick back this year. So it's a wash.

So when one says they gave up two first rounders that's kind of a silly comment because they got a first rounder back.

They also got a 4th round pick back so another wash essentially. The only picks they gave up that are truly lost were a third rounder this year and next year's top two picks.

They swapped first rounders, gave 2016 3rd and 2016 4th, 2017 1st, & 2018 2nd. They'll get a 2017 late round 4th back.

They should have a first again in 2018 (but no second). I don't think it was worth it for Wentz (I didn't really like the prospect), but not bad to move up for the second pick.

Shows that the Cowboys can do the same if needed for all the hand-wringing about the QB of the future after Romo.

Sure, if the Cowboys have the 8th pick like the Eagles did. If the Eagles were picking at say 20 this past year, they'd have to have given up a lot more.

Another guy who obviously didn't watch the game he's trying to talk about. I'll 'shake my head' back at you on this one. If you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't talk.
I missed the first half but watched most of the second half. Afterwards I went online and figured to see a lot of panicking from Eagles fans and gloating from Cowboys fans, but to my surprise it's been mostly the opposite.

He's big and mobile, and his offensive line didn't do him any favors, but I didn't see much else to get overly excited for. Maybe it's my homerism blinding me but I was trying to watch him as objectively as possible.

Right because I 1st round pick qbs(from a small school at that) NEVER bust. But I forgot it was the right choice because some other team did it instead of us

LOL.

Point out where I said first round QBs never bust. I'll wait.

Show me these posts you're referring to? You're trying to tell me how I'm going to react to a performance from Prescott that hasn't even happened yet. Do you have any idea how absurd that is?

And did you see me call him a bust? No you did not. But he didn't play well last night and we shouldn't be rueing about it.

I saw you say "I'm not going to make a judgement" and then watched you make the judgement that " he didn't play well". Hilarious! :lmao:

The Eagles didn't give up that much for Wentz. They only gave up essentially next year's first and second. That's really it. Some of you are acting like they wont make a first or second round pick for like 5 years.
If the eagles play to their full potential on offense this season that 1st and 2nd will be top 5 in both regards.

To see all of Wentz's passes:
Carson Wentz flashes his talent in up-and-down debut

He looked a little nervous at times, but did not seem overwhelmed. He was high on a lot of his throws, but it was his first NFL game action so way too early to read anything into that.

He did have this weird twitching release in his mechanics he will need to work out where his right arm seems to pass the ball without using/turning his chest or torso.

True. Well, depends on the market too, I suppose.

I just watched his highlights. Looked like most of his passes were high and the reason for the drops. He did move well and could looked OK hitting from around 10 yards, but his accuracy left something to be desired. That said, it's his first action and you can't get to much from it. I still don't like the prospect, though, and thought he was a reach at the 2nd pick with very little resume to go on.

No question he's a big risk. I hope he fails but it's clear he has talent.

Okay stash you're entitled to your opinion however wrong it is. I want to see you defend Prescott this hard if he puts up a similar stat line

If the conditions are the same, you bet I will. I just won't let my views be tainted by the uniform. But do me a favor, and don't give me grief on it until it actually happens, OK?

To try and take away the negativeness of this entire post, how do you think Dak will do in his first game? Yes honest question. Im saying he goes for 120 yards 30 yards rushing a throwing TD and Rushing TD. Id be ok with that. :muttley:At the end of the day, Wentz looked like a decent QB last night. Being as unbiased as possible. His WRs stunk it up big time, and that line was worse then bad. Reminds me of the game against Minny when our OL couldnt stop Romo from being knocked down. The Eagles D looked scary good. With that being said, i dont believe they are a better team than us at all.

And I was wrong on the picks. It is a 2018 second rounder as pointed out.

So to move up to get Wentz they essentially moved a third from this draft, a first in 2017 and a second in 2018.

That's far from mortgaging your future.

What's absurd is giving this guy a pass because realism when he did not play well. And don't be ignorant you know what I mean. I'm not making a judgement that he's going to bust and be a failure QB but he did not play well last night. That's not a judgement that's an observation.
