You could say that about a lot of NFL teams.
Not really, if dallas plays to its full potential on O, we are picking 25-32. If the Eagles play to their most potential on O they are still picking in the top 5. That offense is in real trouble.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I missed the first half but watched most of the second half. Afterwards I went online and figured to see a lot of panicking from Eagles fans and gloating from Cowboys fans, but to my surprise it's been mostly the opposite.

He's big and mobile, and his offensive line didn't do him any favors, but I didn't see much else to get overly excited for. Maybe it's my homerism blinding me but I was trying to watch him as objectively as possible.

I credit you for admitting a possible "homerism" and at least trying to watch him objectively. For too many people, it's just the opposite.

If he goes down, I want to see Lawrence lined up against whoever that was at RT all game.

Their backup tackles were brutal. I mean you expect backups to be so-so, but holy hell.......... their LT who replaced Peters was terrible.

That was horrible. I gotta say, our OL depth behind our starters looks ok in camp. We will see tomorrow. I dont see how in the name of everything holy that Green can be worse than Kelly though.

Everyone is sitting here bashing on Wentz. Who cares what they gave up to get him? If he pans out we gotta deal with him, if he doesnt, its not our team so who cares? If you tell me beforehand that this guy is going to be a franchise QB. You give up WHATEVER you have to too get him. Franchise QBs dont grow on trees. Now, all the hate on Elliott and where he was drafted, and the fact hes hurt now. The guy that most people wanted us to take in Ramsey, is hurt too and didnt play his first pre-season game either. Cant we just cheer for the guy and hope hes as good as we all think he is? This was supposed to be about preseason in general and all i see are Eagles posts. No talk about Jacksonville and how Allen Robinson is incredible? About how Josh Norman looked lost at times last night? About how Fleener is going to tear it up in NO? Come on guys. Get it together.

I will say this the kid has talent

Outside of the INT I thought he made the right decisions and he moved well and stood tall in the pocket.

He needs to improve his accuracy and not aim the ball, and throw with some touch, but I think he is going to be a good one

Exactly.

I was on the Wentz train in March and April and started to get very disappointed when he started rocketing up the draft boards. I would have easily paid a first round pick next year and a 2nd round pick in 2018 to have gone from 4 to 2 to get him. Throw in some later round picks as well.

But I admittedly am bullish on the belief that the franchise QB is the most important player on a team, that Romo likely has 2-3 really good years left and having a young stud under him would have been great, and that the odds of hitting on a QB are better taking one high in the first round as opposed to the 3rd round, for example.

He looked really shaky, as did Grayson and Paxton Lynch.

I heard Wentz looked pretty good but he had no protection. The Eagles are going to get that guy killed.

I think you are seeing why they signed Bradford and Daniel. Those two will be sacrificial lambs if the OL is awful.

Sure, if the Cowboys have the 8th pick like the Eagles did. If the Eagles were picking at say 20 this past year, they'd have to have given up a lot more.

Also, you may not need to move all the way to #2. I really want us to draft Chad Kelly.

LOL.

Point out where I said first round QBs never bust. I'll wait.

You didn't have to come out and directly say it. Your premise makes it seem as if Prescott doesn't have a chance to be a franchise qb but Wentz will. You alluded to that fact. Wentz could very well be a bust and Prescott could be the next Romo.
