Time for Sam?

Is the current pass rush a "good thing?"

That question just doesn't currently highlight an inclusion of Sam. He's just at the stage of learning a lot about the NFL on the Cowboy's practice squad.

I honestly have zero valuable opinion on whether Sam can help or not.

What I can, however, is I see little downside trying every option on the roster to mount more of a pass rush from the DE position.

I see a team with Superbowl potential. I also see a team with a glaring weakness (pass rush) that has the most chance of being their downfall come the post-season.

Hence, I'd like to see them do everything they can to fix or at least less than impact of that hole.

Nothing wrong with your snapshot of reason...but I think the team is already doing just that, and there are already about three projections that will improve and additionally add to a current situation snapshot. Myself, I see Mincey, Spencer, and Lawrence covering a need view from applying in the present.

My guess is that you're the rare Sam fan that actually watched him play. Most people just know the name and think that teams are magically overlooking a great player because he's gay.

I have a hard time getting overly upset with PS players. I hope the best for each one and some of these guys have been released and then brought back. That may end up being the case with Sam. None of these PS players are ready to move up to the 53 and right now it is the 53 I tend to focus on.

Through the years I couldn't name PS players. If not for his "fame" I wouldn't know who Sam was. If he couldn't cut it so be it.
I wish him the best of luck on what ever he does.
