Time for us to Abandon the Cowboys

Posts like this are never sincere. Anyone abandoning the Cowboys will come right back on the off chance they have good year.
Not even a good year. Let us have two good games and everything will stand in bloom like there were never bad times.

The thing is people are yelling: Jerry is a bad gm bad owner whatever. But nobody defines criterias why he is that. If there were and we would start winning again nobody could say "hmm maybe he is good and we were wrong".

If there were criterias it would show he is bad even when we are winning. That our FO is more or less talent free. That winning has other reasons: schedule, weak oponents, luck. But not intelligent or good decissions by our FO.

Holy crap. You just made me realize that Jerry's owned the team for more than half its existence. That's like marrying the prom queen who becomes a junkie hooker.

Maybe it really is time for a divorce.
Think about us in our mid 30s and under.

It’s all we’ve ever known.

At this point, Jerry IS the franchise.

And as someone who can’t stand the Jones family values, it’s time for me to move on.

I will not abandon the Cowboys, I just won't take them seriously and won't spend money on them. They're still the team I root for.

Nowadays, I come to this forum because I like the folk here. For the most part, I don't come here because the team is on my mind.

That's not how it used to be. It is now though.

thank you Dr

I pretty much already have. If I owned this forum I would've already shut it down.
If I owned this forum, I would randomly make peoples profile pictures turn upside down, or replace them with funny stuff like cat pictures and memes.

I'd rather spend my autumns going forward taking a nice long walk in a park, rather than invest anymore emotional energy on this train wreck.

Well, I'm pretty sure that if you were to poll all Cowboys fans, who've seen every Superbowl win, 99% of them would consider this the bleakest outlook on the team's future they've ever had. Even when Landry was fired, many, if not most, realized it was necessary to move on, as sad and angry as we were.
You continue to assume to speak for other people than just yourself. You do not! I'm sure there are others that share your opinion but not 99%.

The Dallas Cowboys as we knew them are dead. Dead buried and gone. It’s far past time for us to all just leave. This is why Jerry wants? Then have at it big boy. Jerry’s legacy is and will forever be known as the man who completely destroyed the greatest franchise in NFL history. What a buffoon. So the least we can do is just leave this team with the Jones family. They deserve it
I won't go out of my way to watch this team anymore.
My enthusiasm meter is at zero.
Jerry has just beaten the hope out me with his poor GM decisions.

Unfortunately, it would be the only chance we have to change outcomes. Jerry cares about money more than anything, so it is the only move on chess board.

Nah I’m good you leave, I am a Cowboys fan through and through

Root for the Bills. Maybe it will reverse the curse that started when Jerry sold his soul for Super Bowls.
