Time table for Dak to win major games?

Not sure many fans/posters understand this is a contract year for Dak. Yes, he has 2024 before the 2 voidable years BUT there is no guaranteed money after 2023. Trust me, there's no way Todd France will let him in 2024 w/o new guaranteed money. The question is how much it's going to take........$43M, $45M, $47M, or more. If we make the NFCCG this season, his numbers will probably be closer to $50M than not.

Interesting no one's talking about his contract but this time next season it will be huge........
Team's that intend to keep their players usually extend them with one year left on their contract. If for whatever reason Dallas wants to move on from Dak after the 2023 season, they'll trade him upon request. If they want to keep him, they'll extend him after the 2023 season.

You're the general manager of this team, Dak has been here for several seasons. Knowing this and all the resources you've given him, what's the time frame that he has to go deep into the playoffs or win a championship??

Do you feel that the cowboys have a time frame on Dak being that he's been here this long. Please keep this appropriate!!!! Give your thoughts please....
what? not sure your question makes sense. what's the time frame for any QB to win a superbowl. and should every team cut them after they don't do it in that time frame. what's an acceptable time frame.

Furthermore, the only loss with Rush as QB came against a team that reached the Superbowl (and they had their All Pro QB that day as well)
so Rush played against a team that had an All pro QB....did the other QB play defense? or did rush play defense? this is always the stupidest analogy anybody makes.

how much did the other QB's offense score? and is that attributed to Rush!!!

this is the absolute lamest excuse for knocking dak. you have to get more creative than this.

I'm not saying I want Rush as a starter, but Rush won against 2 playoff teams last year and won 4 total out of 5. So Rush beat good teams too. So did Dak.
You said without Dak we would be a 5 win team, well we won 4 without Dak. I think you over rate what this team would do without Dak and his 40 million dollar salary.
I said 5-8 wins. Now if the defense plays great then maybe we win a game or two more.

Rush averaged 19 points per game as the starter. Nothing to shout about. Bengals were playing poorly at the beginning of the the year. When he finally faced a team on a roll with a defense, the Eagles pounded him with 3 picks.

As for that tweet, why should Dallas have to pay Dak "before the market rises"? I'm sorry but if Dak can't deliver the goods this year then it's time to move on, a few seasons of rebuilding be darned. Just because your neighbor bought a $50K electric vehicle does not mean you have to as well, especially seeing as how they constantly need recharging after only a short distance and the cost to replace the battery is more than the car will be worth.
I don’t agree with hardly anything you post but your second paragraph is pure gold as for Dak it’s not just he who delivers goods. Team game

It is not the players. It is the owner, GM, and defacto Head Coach all being the same person. You can not win without leadership at HC, and QB. You can not have that with Jerry Dumbo GM Jones wanting to be running to world, running the Cowboys, picking the players and calling the plays.

He will soon be restructured, this should tell all of us if there is a timeline. Love or hate, we are stuck with him
For the Dallas Cowboys, the timeline seems to be keeping him as long as he keeps winning games in the regular season. As long as that's the case, the money keeps rolling in in exactly the same manner that it has been, ever since the Jones family has been in charge. Of course, many ardent fans aren't particularly enamored with that idea and would love seeing the next Patrick Mahomes take over for them at QB.

Normally, that would likely entail several years of experience, before such winning ways might be the customary result of such a change, however. Nevertheless, such a situation doesn't prevent many fans with a demanding perspective to have second thoughts about taking such a plunge. One might guess the required timeline depends largely upon whether the fan in question is satisfied with simply winning or if they're unsatisfied, as long as the end result of their QB's seasons lack a Super Bowl inclusion. Granted, it's surely asking a lot for such excellence to be demanded.

I think we should give him 5 or 6 more years.

I know he throws a lot of Pick Sixes...but we need to be patient. Let's put a pin in this discussion until 2028 or 2029, when we'll have more data on him....and then see where he's at.

If you look at Dak's contract you can see that this basically is a contract year for him.

The team could make Dak a post June 1 cut next year and save $34 million on the cap.

Or they could simply let Dak play out 2024 with a $59 million cap hit and then he could hit free agency since the last two years of the deal are voidable.

BOTTOM LINE...............Dak needs to play well the entire season this year and in the playoffs in order to earn an extension. He doesnt have to be the main reason we win games, but he cant be the main reason we lose games by throwing picks.

In Rush's 5 starts, Dallas scored 107 points which is an average of 21.4 points/game, not 19 points.
