It is not just Mincey, McClain was playing really well also...

The Defense just has too many injuries...

The offense did nothing in the second half to help the defense. We couldn't pick up a 3rd and one and had great field position in Falcon's territory get wiped out due to 2 penalties. The defense didn't play well but they spent most of the second half on the field due to an ineffective offense that can't complete a pass to a WR.

It's the D that needs to step up. We knew the O was not going to win this one for us. 0 turnovers and giving up drive after drive. Sorry, but the O did enough.

Dallas needs to go back to basics. What got us to the playoffs last year should be the main priority.

Thats running the ball. We need to dump the RBBC. It doesn't impose their will on the other team. Secondly, we need a bruiser type of back that can break tackles and take it to the house. Its time to put in CMic. Sit Randle down.

I hope people finally realize how important the starters are on both sides of the ball now. All i heard was we have Coleman & Bishop so we're going to be okay, but the reality is Coleman & Bishop are nowhere near the player Mincey is and his absence was extremely noticeable today. Our starting D-Line would've abused the Falcons but there's only so much you can ask of this depleted team. If Weeden had Dez then the Falcons couldn't crowd the line like they did today. I say we sit Mcfadden and start Michael because we need a bruising back for 3rd & short.

Mincey is a DE. Coleman and Bishop are DTs. I would be impossible for Coleman and Bishop to be the same player as Mincey considering that they don't play the same position. It's like saying that Escobar is not as good as Dez.

The Cowboys were short handed at DE. They even used the LB Wilson as a pass rushing DE on some snaps.

true but I mean our offense did put up 28 points... you would expect the defense to hold on at least 1 or 2 drives in the second half

I know he's a DE, i'm saying even when we had the report that he wouldn't play some felt that Coleman would do a good enough job replacing McClain that we could get by with using someone else at DE. Mincey being there would've helped Coleman out tremendously.

The O-line hasn't played consistently well all season. They've had drives where they looked dominant but they've also been dominated a lot. I don't know what the issue is exactly. We're missing Leary and Martin has been banged up. Maybe it will get better. We'll see. But we need the best O-line in football if we want to have a chance.

Our offensive strategy has been different and it hasn't been that great. We haven't been running it as much as we have, and we've been relying on a lot of dink and dunk passes. This wasn't so bad with Romo because he go pick a defense apart when they needed him to (see final drive of Giants game), but this safe strategy keeps us from blowing teams out (like New England does).

We need to establish a running game. Throwing to Dunbar out wide does not count as a running game. It just hasn't been there. It comes in spurts. Randle starts games well but doesn't do much of anything after the first quarter. McFadden usually has one decent drive after the defense is already worn out. We don't have a RB that consistently gashes the defense and gets better as the game goes on. Randle had 85 yards on his first 3 carries and 2 yards on his next 11.

The secondary looked great the first few games but it hadn't really been tested. Julio tore us apart. We won't face another Julio this season but we do have Gronk and Jimmy Graham coming to town soon.

Sean Lee is really the heart of the defense. If he goes down, we fall apart. Hopefully he stays healthy and Rolando can take some pressure off of him.

The D-line got destroyed today but it's hard to blame them considering almost everyone was out. Let's hope Hardy is how he was in Carolina and that Gregory is the prodigy he appeared to be. Mincey is a solid player but not a star, Lawrence is young and still hasn't proven himself yet, T. Crawford is good but no Aaron Donald. Let's see how good this D-line is when everyone is healthy.

This season (even when Romo comes back) really rests on how good our O-line and D-line can be. Both looked awful today. D-line had their excuse but O-line didn't. It's gonna be a tough 7 games before Romo comes back. We need 3-4 wins if we want to still have a shot at winning the division. A Brees-less Saints and Bucs games should be winnable.

News alert! The WR core on this team is a joke! Outside of Beasley they all suck, even Williams!

The LB's are lousy as well when Lee is not in.

I disagree with everyone saying we can't win a game with Weeden. If the defense isn't historically bad in the second half we win this game.

offense was just as bad in the 2nd half, 0 points, 9:53 of possesion, 4 drives, horrid:

Dallas D was mostly on the field because they couldn't get a stop, not because of the O.

If brees comes back next week this could get ugly quickly with the patriots licking there chops the following week and the giants just waiting on us.

That's kinda like saying the Pats TE's corps is a joke if Gronk is out. It might be true, but it doesn't really tell the whole story.

Both sides of the ball need to step up games are 4 quarters not a half and that's all we got out of the offense that continues throwing underneath to the backs. The D got gassed after playing well at times in the first half. The D had some nice stops in the first half but wore down in the second half. There's clearly issues stopping the run which was a problem in preseason and it's carried over to the regular season in 2 of our first 3 games.

No Amendola and Eddlemon can play. Plus they have the best QB in football.

Nothing has changed. The defense got worked. I don't think anyone expected giving up 40 at home. That's unacceptable.

The season is over. By the time Romo and Dez get back, we will be in too big of a hole standings wise. Honestly, I can't see this Cowboys team winning another game especially with how hard the schedule is. I say we put both of them on IR and shoot for a good draft pick. No point in being mediocre.

You are whats wrong with this fanbase sir

Let's face it -- we simply didn't have the horses to win this ballgame -- and that's the long and short of it.

Whether we will or not in the future remains to be seen but it's certainly not hopeless just yet. We'll see.
