Not until Jimmy gets in
Not until Jimmy gets in
Jimmy's not getting in until we win another Super Bowl.
Then second question is was he in the 49ers ring first?Charles Haley is in both the Ring of Honor and the 49ers Hall of Fame.
He won our respect. What did Witten ever win?
Jay Novacek ; 3× Super Bowl champion (XXVII, XXVIII, XXX); First-team All-Pro (1992); Second-team All-Pro (1991); 5× Pro Bowl (1991–1995); All-WAC (1984) ; 3× ...
He won our respect.
Do you believe Tony Gonzalez deserves to be in the Hall of Fame? Just asking, because it's kind of the same thing with Witten and the Ring of Honor.I would have respected him a lot more had he won more than one playoff game. And then all those pre-snap penalties. The guy was just a loser.

Not a thing. I don't want to see anyone from the Romo era in the ring of honor. If you can't win anything you don't deserve to be in it.
Never even thought about it that way, but you’re right, that is the new reality.
This will be the first generation of Cowboys players in decades elected to the Ring of Honor where we have to consider that. You have to go back to the very first players like Don Meredith and Don Perkins to find a large collection of good players who had great careers that never touched the Super Bowl.
Sad times.
No.It's been 7 years since Jerry has put a player in the Ring of Honor. Isn't Witten the most likely next one up there? I guess the other two candidates would be D. Ware and Deion (though Deion maybe won't get in because he only played here 5 seasons).
