Time to seriously start considering possibility of Tunsil

Chargers have a ton of resources allocated to Tackle already, they will more than likely address secondary or DL... They have huge issues there.

The Chargers OL is no where near the same as Dallas and they would be dumb to pass on Tunsil.

The phone will be ringing like crazy if Tunsil is available at 4. If Ramsey is there or not the smart move would be to take the bounty of picks and work on closing the holes on the roster. Having said that I do not think it happens. Charges dream pick is Tunsil because their OL needs help. Ramsey will be the pick for Dallas!

That would be my wish.

But if he's the best player on Dallas' board when they're on the clock, and if there's also a real drop off afterwards (so next tier down), then they have two choices
1) Trade the pick or
2) Take the player

Maybe not, but then again the Chargers need secondary help almost more than they need OT help.

I won't argue that. If they grade Ramsey and Tunsil evenly, I could see them taking Ramsey. But Tunsil seems to be the more complete player at a position of higher premium. It's hard to walk away from a cornerstone prospect like Tunsil when you have any need at LT, IMO. I really like Ramsey and hope the Cowboys can grab him. But in a vacuum, if we didn't have Smith locked up for 10 years, there's no way in hell I'd take Ramsey over Tunsil.

If Tunsil is there, Dallas should call the Ravens and see if they can convince them that others are calling. If not, draft Bosa and be happy that he and Thornton will completely revamped the D-line for 2016.

If the Browns go QB as expected one of Ramsey or Jack will be available. You will get one of the top three players in the draft standing still, and will likely have good offers to trade down.

The early reports on Chaz Green were positive and you have a decent chance that Doug Free will have another solid year, Tunsil is fun to think about but the upgrade at DB or LB would be way, way more taking Ramsey or Jack than it would be to draft Tunsil.

Why do I have a feeling Tunsil will fall to Baltimore and we'll be hearing how Ozzie Newsome is a genius from all the draft pundits?

BPA is more important as you should never leave value on the table. It's better to draft the BPA and then trade him than to pass on him and take less value because your brain doesn't function properly.

If he is so easily traded...then it'd be easy to find a partner to trade back with you.

And taking Bosa is somehow having a brain that doesn't function properly? Cool story.

I think he might have been talking about Bosa's brain that doesn't function properly.

Because if Tunsil falls to them at their spot after being the likely #1 for all these months they would be one of the biggest winners in the draft?

Maybe not. Other team know that you don't want him and just wait for Tunsil to drop more. Unless there's a team that desperately want to leapfrog another team. Not every team is run by JJ.

Interviews, scouting reports, game commentary, etc. I'm not saying he's Neil deGrasse Tyson, but he's smart for a 20 year old football player.

Interviews? I thought one of the knocks on Bosa in some of the interviews was that he came off as quite aloof and almost like a meathead?

I'm thinking they end up with Bosa, and it ends up being a great pick for them for the same reasons.

Yeah.

I'm told his Ecstasy supplier thinks he's brilliant.

Many legitmately brilliant people do or have done drugs. MDMA is not crack and should be legal anyway. I'd sooner question someone taking legally prescribed OxyContin than one taking MDMA recreationally.

I'm not asking anyone to take what I did out of them. I'd agree that he seems aloof, almost like he's bored with the process. I don't take that as lack of iintelligence by any means. I really liked his combine interview (during the TV broadcast/unofficial). He was very direct, honest, funny, and didn't take it or himself too seriously. I'd much rather see that than a guy fake smiling and playing a role. I don't expect everyone to agree with me though.

For what it's worth, the guy was a full time starter at one of the biggest football programs in the nation at (just barely) 18 years old. Whether you think he's smart or not, I think it's fair to say that he has a very solid, natural understanding of the sport.
