Here are some brutally honest statistics about the Cowboys I wish this Jones front office would be forced to consume this evening:
  • The Cowboys are 3-5 in their last 8 games going back to last December.
  • The Cowboys are 0-3 in their last 3 home games.
  • Those last 3 home gameshave given us these brutal stats:
    • Averaging giving up 40 points a game…at home!
    • Averaging giving up 202 yds per game on the ground.
    • Opponents have scored 17 TDs against our Defense in this 0-3 stretch.
    • Opponents have scored on 22 of 27 possessions in those last 3 games at home.
  • Our last home win was on Christmas Eve last December.
Those stats are not an accident or a “couple of bad weeks against good opponents”. Those stats above are now what you call a trend or some really, really bad habits. The biggest problem we have (after the owner/GM) is this is not a very good roster. And although it’s only 3 games and normally too early to write a team off, this one might be the exception.

Here’s the final brutal truths:
  • There will not be any cavalry riding to rescue this team.
  • Scheme won’t fix it.
  • Picking up a DT or two from the NFL trash heap won’t fix it.
  • Trading for a RB (probably less talented than the 5 good ones we passed up in the draft in rounds 4-7) won’t fix it.
  • Firing Mike McCarthy (though deserved) won’t help.
  • This culture is putrid. And it reflects the owner and his entitled children.
This is not a very good roster. Buckle your seats kids. This could get ugly.
So you are saying ... there is no chance?

Fastest way to fix the problem is firing GM Jethro.

If you cannot run the ball or stop the run you won’t make the playoffs much less win a playoff game. If we had Patrick Mahomes and this roster it wouldn’t be much better. He has a great D in KC.
We made the playoffs last year.

Great post Bob, I honestly dont see this team making the playoffs this year.................at least the entire coaching staff will be gone, including Zimmer, since Jerry has everybody on a one year.

Didnt you make a post a while back about lame duck seasons never ending well?

Looks like you are right again bro:thumbup:

We made the playoffs last year.
The team last year had more talent.................Pollard is leaps and bounds better than any RB we currently have on the roster and that is just one example.

The team got worse during the offseason, not better...................so why is everbody shocked that team that got worse during offseason is during worse in the regular season as well???

And had their rear ends handed to them by the #7 seed like they never belonged there in the first place
So you can make the playoffs.

Our schedule gets extremely soft in the second half of the season. We most likely will go on a win streak and fans will think the problems are fixed, to then get destroyed again in the playoffs.

Rinse repeat, Jerry has accomplished his goal in keeping the team just relevant enough to 'Keep the fans hoping and keep the money flowing'

Lol, that should be the team motto every year

NFL agents rips Jerry Jones' approach as Cowboys Owner, "GM".
In a recent poll of NFL player agents by The Athletic's Ben Standig, agents ripped the Cowboys owner and general manager saying he believes "the game has passed him by."

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones praised himself , but NFL agents doesn't have the same assessment of Jerry's performance.

It was that Jerry Jones praised Jerry Jones' leadership and how Jerry Jones runs the Dallas Cowboys.

As it turns out, people who aren't named Jerry Jones don't necessarily have the same review of his performance.

The anonymous agents also questioned whether winning is Jones' biggest goal.

"I don't think they want to win above all," the agents said. "Jerry (Jones) wants to turn profits and make headlines."
It is hard to deny that.

Jerry Jones has always been about building the brand of "The Star" and his players have been expendable. This year, the team dragged on contract negotiations with star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb before ultimately signing him to a four-year, $136 million contract extension after training camp.

Dak Prescott, Monster Contract Likely Won't Pay Dividends To Win a Super Bowl

Dallas also has Micah Parsons waiting in the wings for a massive new deal.

The Cowboys have plenty of issues staring them right in the face, but Jerry continues to take a lackadaisical approach and never gets out in front of contract talks.. There's a Madness To Jerry's Approach available to the media cameras To Make Jerry Himself Relevant after Games...

The agents are right that the game has passed him by.

But... MONEY MONEY MONEY..Headlines Headlines Headlines Hasn't Passed Him By..

Though,do we really trust Stephen Jones to be any better? Nope..

Jerry Has RUINED The Culture Of Once Proud America's Team..

They announced a stat during the 4th qtr that the Ravens were averaging 5yds/rush before contact.

This is a very bad team and a reflection on Jerry and the biggest problem is the person tasked with rebuilding this team is the same person that got us here in the first place.

An extremely prejudicial perspective against the Joneses. No attempt whatsoever was made to be fair to them. Until you do that, I won't give your point of view any credit. It's just a hit piece.

It already is ugly.....Watching players point fingers @ one another.....the back stabbing. The scapegoating....the owner hiding. The head coach looking bewildered....What more does anyone need to see? This might be the lowest this franchise has been in it's 64 years...There literally is no hope going forward.....not with all these bad contracts...and aging players.

It's a cancer ridden franchise....rotten to the core. There is no fixing this. This is the kind of crap you blow up. Trade all assets...and burn it to the ground like Jimmy did. Problem is.....Jerry doesn't have the nerve to do it...Nor does he have the fortitude to see it through again. Hell...He could barely hire a defensive coordinator. This needs a new director....and new direction.

The remedy couldn't be more clear.....
Even if Jerry did blow up the whole thing, it wouldn’t matter if he was still in charge. He is Problem #1. It starts there….it ends there…

Its already ugly. That Browns win doesn't look very good with the Giants beating them too. Jerry deserves this and so do the people that have been blind to the problems within this organization.

It’s interesting that tonight on the SNF broadcast Jason Garrett called the Cowboys an “un-physical football team”. The short version of that is much simpler: SOFT.
Well, Garrett had his years of softivity. I know this word has no meaning.

Firing MM wont help because we lack talent, but it needs to be done. He's a lame duck coach, players know this, it just seems like they're done with him
Yes.

I think there are issues already between Big Mike and Zim.
