Unfortunately for Romo, his distractors use the against him all the time. Yeah, he flubbed up some games, but that one was not on him. I forget what happened to the actual holder, I think he got injured and now I don't even know who he was?
He used to hold the ball a lot. I don't know if it was by choice or out of necessity, but that definitely wasn't an anomaly.

I will stand on that hill that says Romo would have won a superbowl if not made it to a couple if he played for an actual football "organization". To accomplish what he did updraft is astounding on its own.

What bugs me the most is the mouth breathing, click bait media, and fans that buy into the talking heads of him being a choke artist when he was actually one of the premier if not premier quarterback in the 4th quarter and overtime. He just happen to carry crap teams to .500 and his defense bar a year or two was a complete joke. JG should thank him a million times over for keeping his job and dragging those teams to .500

Did he gave his *** mishaps in the post season sure but the majority of the games he actually did his thing.
Romo was much like Favre, but with a worse team. Favre only won 1 Super Bowl. I couldve seen Tony doing that with a better team.

There is still a part of me that thinks the 2016 season ends differently had Jerry Jones allowed Garrett to put Romo back in as QB1. He was playing the best ball of his career from 2014 until retirement. Injuries would always have been an issue. But, I think Dallas should have let him roll once he got healthy that season.

If he came out rusty or just didn't have "it", you knew that the rookie was very capable of winning games and could replace him. If he was 2014 Romo with that young version of Zeke, Dallas would have been in a NFC Championship game at minimum IMHO.

Can't turn back the hands of time. But, man I wonder about 2016.
I think both JG and stephen wanted dak to play, and jerry may have wanted romo back but he went with the other 2.

Romo should have started against GB , he matched up better. Win that game and next one would be seattle, win that and your in SB.
One reason to go back to Romo is that no rookie has ever won a SB. They could have gone to dak if Romo got hurt or played poorly.
then next year let them compete for starting job.

Romo matched up better, especially during a playoff game? How so? Romo never threw for 300+ yards or more than 2 TDs in any playoff game.

Dak accomplished that his rookie year and has done so two other times during his 7 playoff games started throughout his career.

He was the holder before he became the starting QB. The moment he did become one, Bill should have immediately moved someone else in.

Nobody else...on the entire team...could hold a FG snap? Lazy! And instead of Bill paying the price for his decision, Romo does. 20 years later! It's insane.

Total BS and revisionist history. Parcells built a Super Bowl roster that Wade inherited and they went 13-3 and had the number one seed. Sportswriters considered that roster to be Super Bowl caliber on both sides of the ball and the wild Card Giants won. Romo failed to get it done just like Dak.
You're right about that one season but I'm talking about the totality of Romo's pro career.

I 100% agree with this. I wanted Romo to get starting position back again, but the winning streak and publicity just lured Joneses into pushing for Dak to stay starter.
No rookie has ever gone to superbowl. there is only a few, very few who even make it to the CCG (that's what makes what Daniels did special).
Romo should have started the last 5,6 games of the season and then post season. one of the reasons we got into a pickle against GB, was our slow start.
the whole team was in disarray and that was partly on coaches. no guarantees, but Romo would have given us better chance in playoffs.

Romo = Dak.
Agreed and it's amazing how many people think Romo was Peyton Manning lol. They are the same player, stats and playoff wins and losses, which really points to the idiot that built the rosters the past 29 seasons.

And regardless of the QB, when we got to the playoffs in critical moments when we absolutely needed a stop, the defense of the past 29 seasons choked like a cat on a furball. This is because when you have an idiot making football decisions, they can only sorta build a decent team on one side of the ball and Jerry always chooses the offensive side of the ball to invest in and the playoff results prove it.
