News: TLH: Is There Enough Talent In Dallas To Make A Super Bowl Run?

Wait, we got a legit 1 tech? When?
I see no way in earth McClain pulls a hayden and goes the entire season without a sack. Maybe I shouldn't say legit but definitely a clear upgrade from what we trotted out last year

offense can make the defense look better by controlling the clock and scoring...the defense just needs to keep the other team in the 20-24 range and playoffs, here we come...however, once in there, other teams will have better defenses which will negate some of the cowboys offense....

just get in first

(Are you dense? Dude he was outperformed by Selvie last year! Selvie who had been a career JAG got more sacks than your Godsend irreplaceable Demarcus Ware. And did you forget our 2nd round pick Lawrence?? Hell I bet he gets at least the 6 sacks ware did. You're stuck in the past obviously)

You're talking up George Selvie and an unproven rookie as replacements for a future Hall of Famer. You don't need to look anywhere but a mirror for 'dense'.

(I don't think you truly understand how garbage hayden was last year. McClain is gonna show what a difference a real 1 tech can make. Go look at the tape it's obvious to everyone with a brain except you that McClain is an upgrade over Hayden who did not record a SINGLE SACK the entire season. All the reports out of otas are how McClain looks like a man on fire so watch and see princess)

Until you find some, don't speak of 'understanding'. Critiquing a one technique for sacks? Yeah, go read a book!

And McClain didn't suddenly become this force since he's now wearing a star, despite what you'd like to believe. He hasn't played a game for this team yet, but people like you want to anoint him as this 'force' the rest of the league missed out on...
(Pick any name out of what we have on the team now who plays the position and they will be able to replace and improve on those bums we had on the field last year. Exactly how many of those guys are back this year since they are gonna be so hard to replace we obviously would have brought those guys back right???? Lol this is too easy)

As expected, you've again got nothing. Leave it to the smarter adults to talk about and stick to reading along, you might learn something along the way.

(What we have all noticed is you continually getting served and coming back with ridiculous points)

Sorry if facts hurt your hopes and dreams.

I guess it's true, ignorance really is bliss...

Dude, there's a heckuva lot that you don't see.

Sacks from that position are hardly the true indicator if the player is doing their job. Hayden was nothing but literal body occupying space. McClain needs to demand attention and get push upfield when facing single blocking.

But interestingly enough McClain has exactly one sack in 32 career games, Hayden has two in 44 games. Maybe McClain can catch him if he plays in all sixteen games this year.

(What does him being a future Hall of Famer have to do with his abilities RIGHT NOW. The Demarcus Ware that you're talking about checked out 2 years ago. Around the last time you watched football I suppose since somehow it's not getting through your thick skull that the Demarcus Ware of last year is easily replaceable. Oh and I love how you conveniently avoid discussing how he and his 6 sacks were out produced last year by said George Selvie. Checkmate. )

(Hayden graded out negative for the season as per pff finished with 0 sacks 44 tackles and was a liability on the line having to be a starter. As was reported in otas by multiple sources McCain was looking like a man on a mission and I'm very much looking forward to seeing him when the pads come on. But according to people like you "oh gloom and doom to the cowboys everything is gonna suck we should quit this season we have no defense we cut all of wares 6 sacks wah wah wah")

As expected, you've again got nothing. Leave it to the smarter adults to talk about and stick to reading along, you might learn something along the way.

(If we're leaving it to smarter adults you sit back and watch us talk while you have wet dreams about an old washed up Demarcus Ware and the glory of his 6 sacks. )

(dang you must be extremely happy then)

The difference being that hayden was our starter with many many more snaps than McClain and opportunities to boost those stats but he didn't. He graded out negative for the year and was a liability. Numbers, the eye test, tape everything shows McClain is better than hayden. Guess we'll have to wait til the season to see how much better.

If McClain has a calling card it is mobility and good pad levels.

A career backup has calling cards now too?

On the contrary, I find it misleading that a top pick in an NFL draft, and graded by the entire NFL, can't get so much as a kind word...and from a burn barrel buddy perspective. As if the poor man has done so much as anything to bring down the name of the Dallas Cowboys. But instead, is trying to contribute to the team.

I can understand why a perspective of holding down views to one's own level is needed for just such an individual...go figure.

And for the snubbing but lazy, I'd say 16 passes defended for a MLB a pretty strong calling card...in a single season.

Unfortunately, it's all concentrated in one area. And a pass offense does not a team make.

I'll go on record here and now, that if the defensive line holds up this season, no name or not, this team will be just fine come declaring NFC East crown and a playoff birth.

Oh, there was snubbing of the defensive line instead... and not basing that on what he can contribute. But the differentiation wasn't offered to define scorn...did one say implied?

Let's see if the impulse to respond lasts a couple of posts...

I've seen worse teams win the Superbowl.

This team expects to lose though and that is the culture that Garrett has created in his tenure.

We lack confidence and I imagine we will once again lack the strategy as well.

Speak for yourself. Literally.
