No one needs to pay a QB that has gone 6-11 his last 17 games......
Didn’t Dak go 8-8 in 2019? Or did he miss a game or two? Can’t remember. He went 1-3 in 2020.

Because that is what the draft is for? You people with this argument make me laugh. If we sign Dak we have a 3 year window to fix the defence. Do you think Brady himself won on sunday? or his defence destroying the KC OL all game did?
Amen BrotherThe real problem here is the Jones boys have allowed this situation to fester for two, now going on three, years. Make a decision and move forward.
Kicking the can down the road puts your team in limbo, with predictable results to anyone not named Jones - the two richest idiots in the world.

Doesn't Brady have a history not being paid as one of the top QB's so NE could sign players?NFL QBs are paid like cars. Brady is like an older really cool car that isn’t the most expensive model because it’s older- like a classic Corvette. Which may be even considered “the best car” but it’s not as expensive as a newer Vette.
Look Brady is the GOAT. Unquestionably so. But he’s 43. THAT is what makes his payday less than a guy who’s younger and less accomplished. NFL QBs are not paid according to logic or accomplishment. It’s a strange market. QBs are paid according to what the market dictates. Not what we think is fair. That is true whether we want Dak or any other young QB seeking market value.
No. A good team uses both. Our team. Regardless of Dak's salary uses 1 and goes shopping in the clearance aisle for FA's. So you can blame him all you want. Unfortunately the blame lies upstairs with dumb and dumber. Dak has earned his raise. No, the draft is not a sure fire answer to your problems and there is no way you can only rely on the draft. It needs to be a combination of drafting and filling holes with quality free agents to fill needs. You will not always be able to fill a need your team has via the draft because this particular draft may not have enough of a skill set to go around or there is no one with a certain skillset available when your team picks. So what, you sign Dak and then embark on a 5 - 10 year process of drafting until all the holes on this team are filled just via the draft?
Superbowl demonstrated why you don't shell out huge money on a quarterback.
Brady....I don't believe the "his wife is rich sob story". He knows the money spent elsewhere is key to success. Plus huge endorsement deals pay the rest.
Ridiculous comparison. Several QBs make more than Brady. Why?
Gee, I don't know. Maybe Brady already being filthy rich, and married to someone even richer, makes it easy for him to be a team player and take less?
Come on, folks. This stuff shouldn't need explained.
Quite.Superbowl demonstrated why you don't shell out huge money on a quarterback.

he made 25Mil with all incentives and bonus money, dudes been underpaid his entire career if winning is the main factor..i dont want to hear about his wife because as a man , as pro athlete this man is secure enough with himself to have wife that makes as much or more then him and secure enough to not demand more because he can..Brady understood the business side of this and how to help his owners have some cap to use elsewhere..Brady makes about 25 million a year. Is Dak better than Brady?

Mahomes's deal is about being able to restructure as needed to keep a team around him to stay in super bowl contention . Dak doesn't appear to be interested in winning super bowls.he made 25Mil with all incentives and bonus money, dudes been underpaid his entire career if winning is the main factor..i dont want to hear about his wife because as a man , as pro athlete this man is secure enough with himself to have wife that makes as much or more then him and secure enough to not demand more because he can..Brady understood the business side of this and how to help his owners have some cap to use elsewhere..
so um yes Daks got an inflated ego and view of himself and his skill level..Mahomes also took 10year deal at less then he could have demanded IMHO
so dak holding these negotiations up over 1yr extra to help the team is why many fans have criticized him of late..
I dont see how anyone could watch the SB, and come up with cowboys need to pay dak lol.
That is bizarre and makes no sense whatsoever !
There are no similarity with the 2 qb's playing in SB or in the teams that were in SB.
Lets look at this lol
Both teams have real GM's and a normal owner lol
Both teams had the two BEST QB's in the nfl !
Both teams have better OC and DC than Dallas does
Both teams have more talent on offense and defense than Dallas does
Neither team has anything in common with the cowboys, except they too have a older HC with 1 SB win, that is the only similarity.
So the 2 teams in SB cant be compared to the cowboys, and Dak isnt mahomes, nor is he a Brady.
ok I read the piece and the dufus basically was saying mahomes did poorly due to his OL play, and that dak did better with worse lol.
Well that wasnt the reason, it was the game plan to take away hill foremost , and limit kelcy, that was what stifled KC, and they didnt adjust to that.
And dak wasnt playing TB in the early games he played where he had the big passing yds, most of which was in garbage time comebacks.
So mr torres needs to learn some more about football and maybe then he wont be coming to these bizarre conclusions.

Agreed. Mahomes is the best QB in the league, or minimum top 3, and TB was able to rush 4 to beat him. Obviously helped a great deal by having two 2nd string tackles in the game, but Brady lost two super bowls to the Giants for essentially the same reason.Exactly, it showed they need to get a whole bunch of quality defensive players.
Dak has been offered a Russell Wilson-like deal. His stance makes zero sense.exactly
IMHO Dak should have taken the first deals two years ago then if and only if he got us to a NFCCG or SB come back and ask for new deal.for sure that applies to the latest offers..beyond fair..insane the hardball hes playing..sure he has rights too but its not sitting well with a lot of fans..
Jerry for sure isnt cheap hes asking for little more flexibility and he would for sure have torn up this deal from 2019 at any point and gave him a Mx market deal with championship appearance or win..
exactlyExactly, he knew that the more he was able to be successful, the more endorsement dollars he could rake in and the brand that was his name could actually be used to build something more than just saying - I took a salary for x number of years. Just think would anyone buying anything from TB12 if he was just another QB that never won anything?

People can say Brady can 'afford' to only make 25 million a year, but in the world of real-life, even after taxes, one season at 25 million is more than enough to never have to work again and live comfortably. There is nothing wrong with Dak trying to maximize his value, but the notion that he can't afford to make just 70 million instead 100 million is ridiculous. Brady has been to 10 super bowls, winning more than any other franchise, and did so in part by being underpaid for the entirety of this playing career. That's not a coincidence.
Nick Foles won a super bowl with a great team around him. Aaron Rodgers hasn't been to a super bowl since he won it in 2010 when his cap hit was less than 10 Million. People need to stop thinking we need a HOF QB to win the super bowl. Dalton can win the super bowl with the right team around him. Yes, Dak is a level better than Dalton, but at what cost?
While I don't believe Dalton could, we also pretty much give up on a super bowl possibility if we pay Dak 40ish/year.Agreed. Mahomes is the best QB in the league, or minimum top 3, and TB was able to rush 4 to beat him. Obviously helped a great deal by having two 2nd string tackles in the game, but Brady lost two super bowls to the Giants for essentially the same reason.
