Kharma Breaks WWE Character, Announces She’s Pregnant

During tonight’s WWE RAW broadcast on USA Network, Kharma (formerly named Awesome Kong in TNA Wrestling) announced that she was pregnant on-air, which surprised a lot of people considering that it didn’t seem like her character she has been portraying on television for nearly a month. In a twist, Kharma — who has attacked both babyface and heel Divas as of late — turned babyface with her promo inside the ring while the heel Bella Twins came out and insulted her, possibly setting a match between Kharma and the Bellas when she returns. WWE is already receiving praise from fans on Twitter and Facebook for allowing her the opportunity to announce the pregnancy live on the air instead of going another route until she returned.

they handled her pregnancy news fine...I imagine Stephanie had something to do with all that. The Twitter posts are self explanatory..I remember the other thread well when u posted Punk's tweet.

I'm on the couch for the rest of the night. Could get used to this.

i'll stop now, but IK im right, so when he leaves in a month or so i'll make a nice thread and hopefully some will be mature enough to eat some crow, because Punk is not staying in WWE barring a major change.

Just another example of how soft the WWE is getting.. billed her as a monster, then they have her on the mic in tears saying how much she loves the fans and is so happy to be a mom, etc etc.. gag me.

Of course they would put her on initially as a "monster" as you put it. She hardly fits the bill physicially of what most females wrestlers are these days. Most fans probably already knew she was pregnant. No reason she can't be herself & explain the long absence to come to those that didn't. She seems like a determined gal when it comes to her career. The WWE will get their money's worth out of her..it will just be later & not now.

She will not draw a dime in any role other than a monster who runs the entire division.

I agree ...... a more realistic approach with them as actors portraying a role.

I have no doubt she will be a monster again when she comes back.

She's a big gal & she's going to be written as a dominating force. That's just common sense. The most important thing is her real life..her health..& certainly her child's. So let her rest..have a healthy baby..& see you next year. I doubt too many people were buying tickets just to see her anyway.

Exactly what i mean, right there..

So you did not know that to Begin with?

When Undertaker was in suburban commando 20 years ago, did it ruin the character for you?

The draw of wrestling was developing characters and personalities that are believable.. not pushing the fact that they are actors and they are just playing a part in a big script.

Ummm...no offense but how does this prove you're right?

People say that exact same thing, all the time, no matter what job they're doing and it doesn't mean jack, other than they could get used to being able to sit at home and rest all night.

I really don't know how this proves anything other than you're obsessed with trying to prove you're some sort of genius when it comes to wrestling or something.

And out of curiousity what happens if he doesn't leave? Will you be starting a thread to say you were wrong? Some how I doubt that so calling others out, ahead of time, makes you look like a 12 year old.

Since when?

The draw of wrestling is making guys who are exciting to watch.

believability has nothing to do with it.

remember George Steele? He ate turnbuckles...hardly a believable act. And Kamala? He was suppose to be a cannibal from the jungle I think. He always cracked me up when he would beat on his belly...

No but people were defiently starting to be intrigued with the Womans division starting to have a level of importance once again, back when they had Sable, Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus, etc; around the 2002-2004 period, the womans division was highly entertaining.

Kong as a face just doesn't work, she has to come back as a heel & now I don't see how that is possible unless they just ignore the last two weeks.

You mean there is no way they can make her a believable heel again after this pregnancy thing?

Wow....that's odd. I wonder how they managed to make Kane a face after he set JR on fire?

Or how the Undertaker was ever a good guy again after he tried to sacrifice Stephanie and then Stone Cold Steve Austin.

And how in the world would they EVER make Hulk Hogan a good guy in wrestling again after he went and pissed all over the fans for the nWo.

Newsflash. They totally ignore things ALL THE TIME in wrestling to make heel or face turns. To make sudden alliances or break groups up.

Kane should never have been turned, he was turning into one of the best heel characters of all time.
