I'm not anti Punk by any means...the guy is as solid as they come. I just based it on age...pedigree..nothing more really. To me right now Orton would & should be THE man you ride with but it's just opinion. In fact the two of them had one of the best feuds in recent memory & their WM match was superb.

Oh absolutely. I wasn't meaning that to dog you on your opinion. I get what you're saying, and man I could very easily make a case for Orton being the man. No doubt.

I like them both a ton. Great wrestlers.

If you do not count them saying

Undertaker was gonna retire last year.

Kane 3 years ago.

Brock Lesnar returning to WWE at Wrestlemania

Michael Cole is the raw GM

Jim Ross is the Raw GM

Stone Cold is the Raw GM

Rock is the Raw GM

GoldBerg signing with TNA last year

ect ect ect ect

Exactly.

Of course you're on block, and I guess it's the only post you've made that he decided he didn't want to click the view post thing for, cause it's the only one that he's kept quiet about.

I guess being proven wrong, again, was too much in this case since the "All Powerful and All Knowing PWI" was wrong. lol

This debate is really pointless though, because they arn't even on the same show. Punk definitely deserves another run as champion, and he sure as hell at least deserves to be in the title picture. Right now they got weiners like R Truth and Rey Mysterio in the championship picture but not Punk. That's insanity.

He deserves another run. I'd love to see him in a feud where he is put over on Cena. They allowed Cena to destroy him, pretty much, in their previous feud. I'd like to see them do one where CM Punk just seems to mentally be a few steps ahead of Cena for months. That would be great.

Goldberg signing with TNA last year was speculation, infact may endup being true as Bischoff met with him again a few weeks ago.. That one did orginate with Pwinsider.

Rock/Austin/Cole/Ross as Raw GM was speculation, was discussed in Elite audio, but didn't originate from PWI.

They said Undertaker wouldn't retire until 20-0 unless his shoulder forced him too.

Kane retiring 3 years ago, never heard that one.

Lesnar returning to WM was fueled by Undertaker & Lesnar's face off at a UFC ppv last year.

You make alot of great points...I had kind of put away the Punk/Cena feud but that would certainly be entertaining. They are fixated on putting those Corre guys over though & using Punk to do that. I am intrigued by the big Batista look alike though..forget his name.

Mason Ryan, he's got the look... but that's it, he's green as hell in the ring and stiff as heck.. there was a battle royale a few weeks back where if you were watching him the entire time you would be like what the is this guy doing? It was like a wrestling blooper reel.

So when they report it and get it wrong it's just speculation? That's good. Covers their butts from being wrong I suppose.

And them signing Goldberg last year can't wind up being true, even if they do sign him now, as it's no longer last year.

I can never remember that guy's name...I didn't watch the battle royal. I don't like those matches. Batista never was a good technical ring wrestler but he had a great look and he worked hard. Certainly his wrestling career was a successful one.

Agreed. Pretty stiff and green. I'd like to see him get the experience and hopefully improve though. He's got the look and maybe one day could be pretty good.

Agreed. no ring technician and I recall when he first came in he seemed very stiff and very sloppy.

to Batista's credit he was 40 I think when he started with the WWE...that Mason guy reminds me very much of Dave. I am guessing he's much younger though.

What i'm saying is that they reported they met with Goldberg last year, they met again.. Both true.

Speculation, they never reported it, PWinsider didn't atleast.. Spoke about it in the elite audio shows.. Doing 5+ hours a week, you have to talk fantasy some times :lmao2:. Talk about what would've happened if Bruiser Brody never died sometimes aswell, doesn't mean they are reporting he never died..

Maybe..if he comes back. They certainly seem to be cut from the same cloth. I hadn't heard Dave wanted to wrestle again...

His MMA career recently died, Strikeforce withdrew a contract offer or something. His movie career is nonexistent, so unless he wants to sit at home and talk to himself, he'll be back.

Well Batista was known for working insanely hard, thats a mindset few have, won't say Ryan doesn't, but it is not likely he will work nearly as hard as Batista did, and when Batista was D'von Dudleys lackey, he was atleast passible in the ring, Ryan is probably the worst in ring wrestler in the entire company.

Although I have respect for him as he initially didn't want to be called up from FCW, he said he needed another year or two.

& this thread is a wrap, as I said a while ago Chyna most likely won't return... Never predicted her making a porn video though :lmao:

http://pwinsider.com/article/58601/tna-wants-no-part-of-chynas-back-door.html?p=1

www.TMZ.com featured a story today claiming that Chyna's contract negotiations with TNA will end due to the release of her Vivid Entertainment adult film "Back Door to Chyna."
In the piece, Chyna (who had publicly denied she made the film months ago), commented, "The whole thing has been constant drama ... it's all good in the end ... [TNA Wrestling] is missing the boat."

Chyna has not worked for the promotion since her lone PPV appearance at Sacrifice, teaming with Kurt Angle against the Jarretts.

TNA, naturally, has not commented.

To be honest, I don't think many (if any) cared that she returned or not. Looking back I still feel this was a failed gimmick for TNA.

It's difficult being a pro wrestling reporter because pro wrestlers love to work anybody they come across. In other words, people in the wrestling business lie all of the time because they get a kick out of it. Doesn't mean that they are all bad people, but it's just part of the wrestling culture. Everybody wants to work everybody. Some guys will lie about everything under the sun, just because they can.

I've known Mike Johnson personally since '95. Good guy and a really great writer when the stars align. I don't think the actual reporting thing is his strongpoint and I don't think his heart is really into that. But, if I wanted to read a report on a wrestling story I usually stick to Meltzer and the Observer. Wrestlers lie to him all of the time as well, but he's got a good BS radar by now and he has so many contacts and does a good job of trying his best to verify stories. But, even he gets stuff way wrong. Not much one can do.

I did watch some of Impact last night. Lots of disjointed storylines. Bully Ray was pretty good on the mic. AJ should be a Steamboat like, full-time face. He just doesn't have the mic work to be a great heel and there's too great of a dearth of great heel managers. Plus, his fans don't watch him because of his mic work. Anderson and Young was straight up Russo thinking he's a booking comedic genius again...probably got reeled in by Jarrett. I never saw any appeal in Anderson other than he looks comfortable on the mic, but even then he's not actually *good* on the mic.

Kendrick vs. Kazarian was typical Russo crap. Maybe Bischoff suggested it because he loved killing off the cruisers in WCW. They still don't quite get how to make Abyss a monster heel. You can't just put him in the X-Division because after awhile nobody will care that he's beating a bunch of smaller guys. He needs to be at the top to stay strong and dominate in squash matches, dominate a few top faces, and have a showdown or two against your top face where he dominates there.

Hogan and Bischoff segment is about as bad as it gets when it comes to ending a show. Instead of ending a show with great wrestling action and maybe insert an angle into it, we get this crap. I could go over how Hogan is overrated as a talent, but I've been doing that since '91...when he was considered 'old' back then.

I did too and I regret it. Every time I do give TNA a chance it has been a waste of my time.

I FF'd thru some of it...I see Angle and Jarrett are STILL feuding...the blonde stripper diva is STILL in a trance...and Anderson is walking around in an old Sting costume. And people say WWE is lame...OK! I can't stand "Bully Ray"...funny how he lapses in & out of that NY accent. I do like Matt Morgan. Always have. Kendrick is ok. He's not bad for a small guy.
